So here's a continuation from yesterday's birthday of this space, today marks another special day. Yes, this is never ending and I like it this way - happy days.

That is, I can remove my p plate! Exactly a year ago, I passed my driving test and it was definitely a traumatic experience. You can read the post here.

Anyway, this isn't too much of a good thing either because fellow road users have to be extra cautious due to the presence of yours truly. Hehehe Ok I kid.

Today marks one of the significant days annually. So....

this space of mine that has always been held so close to my heart. :')

It contains the ups and downs moments, darkest secret of my life and those nitty gritty stuffs on a daily basis that have basically gradually revealed how I have become who you guys have known me to be as of today.

May there will be another 7 years and probably I might still be posting though slim chance but well... I would be 27 by then. Not cool.

Here are 10 facts that you might not know/ you have to know/ you might want to know about me.

1. The double eyelid on my left eye is parallel but on my right eye, it's tapered.

2. The nail on the index finger on my right hand is slanted to the left.

3. I don't consume my food with sauces. Not any at all for all food. (Eg. Fries. Wth, you might say.)

4. I've grown used to being called my English name ever since I came to know that I exist on this earth so I wouldn't respond to my Chinese name at all. That's pretty saddening. On the contrary, in the past 4 years or so, I've been mould to used to being called "Germs " in short. Wth?

5. Favourite/comfort food: chocolate and ice cream.

6. I have never dyed my hair before. Well I think I'm like some extinct species since I'd say that in every 10 poly students, 7 or 8 would have dyed their hair at least once in their life for now but I'm the minority which have not. Not really cool about it. I'd consider next time when my hair is in better condition (I'm born with naturally curly disgusting looking hair) and when I can afford getting touched up for my black roots cause i hate them #justsaying

7. Hate to hold my bladder. H-A-T-E!!!

8. Detest copycats. Go home chase your rats lah.

9. If you have done me a favor (even if it's the slightest gesture or contribution), I'll remember for life. I mean it.

10. Disagreeing to the presence of those fake products out there - intelligently termed as ''inspired''. It's a total insult to those talented designers out there. If you can't afford, don't go after those ''inspired''. This word is definitely a euphemism for FAKE. Think about it, would any seller say, ''We are selling FAKE goods!" Majority would not be interested but if they were to change it to ''inspired'', it doesn't sound as bad. No? In fact, it's equivalent to purchasing counterfeit goods just that there are some brands out there which are not as well established so majority aren't aware or don't really care. For goodness sake, fake means fake. Period.

Anyway, this post is churned out over a period of time and I update it whenever any point pops up so now you know me better.. eh probably not.

This is the aftermath of binge eating, treating food as drinks, eating while sleeping and what's not.

If you're wondering, yes I don't dress up for cny because I feel more comfy dressed up when I'm out with friends - those eyeliner, shadow, lippy, blush, etc. I think I'm weird because most girls will doll up for the day but I don't.

One thing for sure, the fav trio don't judge how I present myself and..... how should I remove my double chin?

Anyway, I'm kidding. (that's if you fail to comprehend this huge attempt in joking. My cousin asked me to try this iphone app which I was aware of its existence but didn't know its name. Ugh Boring cny~~)

I wanted to do the monthly posting of what I've been up to but when I was scrolling through the album, I realized that the majority of the photos consist of food and more food. -_-

With that, this shall be a what-I-had-been-obsessed-with food wise kind of entry.

1) 2D1N Soju Bang BBQ on new year's eve. Entry can be read here. In fact, I quite like it there. 2) Fans of chocolate cannot miss maltesers out. 3) International buffet at united square. I'm missing those oysters so much. 4) Impromptu trip to clementi's koi with classmates for some dosage of unhealthiness

The following are food I had during break from work last month.

5) At Wendy's of which the chicky sucks - dry and not tender. I had a post here. 6) I was in the mood for some pastamania lovin' 7) and 8) were what I had from Ion's food stalls at basement. Nothing interesting but colorful cereals make me happy.

The followings are my latest addictions

9) Finished the pound cake over two nights. Need to purchase more. 10) Sec school classmate was really nice to help me and E to bring some tai yang bing from taiwan. Well, shared with family and finished them over slightly past a week. Is anyone visiting taiwan again? 11) Bought wafers when I visited Cheers while waiting for the green man to turn green at the road junction. 3 for a mere $4. What a steal.

The rest are some random shots from here and there.

1) Accompanied project mate to get her nails done and I learnt that they can earn quite a fair bit as long as they get each customer to sign up a package that costs $500. Whoa 2) Randomly applied essie's shine of the times because I was irritated by the base color chipping but was lazy to remove them. 3) Burnt my hands (burnt marks not noticeable in photo) from.. you guess what. 4) Ridiculous input from "Yvonne Hall'' from tiny tower. See if you can figure out her absurdness. Lol

January 2012 Bella Box

So it's mid Jan and here is a round up of the items received. I guess now that I'm in the 4th month of updating about it at this space, I feel rather uneasy if I were to not mention it. However, I haven't had the mood to do some posting and I wouldn't sound chirpy or probably goofy? so I've no idea why I feel obliged either. -_- Still, here you go.

I'd say that based on my personal preference, this month's products are rather average but once again, the products all sum up to more than the amount that we paid for so I guess afterall, it's still rather worthy.

Another thing is, the packaging has been changed and the size of the box is significantly reduced which I think is pretty good as that makes it look more sleek and compact. ie save the earth.

Anyhoo, the lighting turned out pretty bad and I've a horrible pet peeve with photos taken in bad photo lighting so to overcome this, I've included filters instead so colours of products are not true to pictures.

Alright so to begin, this is a cleansing foam from The Face Shop and I believe that once I've ran out of my current cleanser, I shall try this out. Yay to saving $.

The second item which I picked out from the box was this lip balm. I haven't tried it out as well since I've too many products on hand left unopened and here is my attempt in trying to prolong its ''useful life''. ugh, this term reminds me of accounting.

My favourite of the lot would be this. The thing is I've been wanting to try it when I first got into face products two years ago but somehow, I couldn't bring myself to get it so I'm definitely very pleased that I'm able to try it now. Never too late.

Morever, I've ran out of my mufe foundation (HG!) after a year and my friend is helping me to get the chanel vitalumiere aqua foundation (which I've been meaning to try for few months now) when she flies off this week so I guess meanwhile, I need this. I own this dream mousse foundation by maybelline which i got from drugstore.com on a whim. It's highly raved online and it is pretty good but unfortunately it's a shade darker (I got slightly fairer) so I feel insecure that I might appear having a mask on. Oh gosh, I saw this girl in school who has an apparent foundation mishade and she looks... *face palm*. She had tube long dress on so that makes the difference in the shade of her skin on her neck, chest and shoulder area more evident than on her face.

Ok moving on................................... lol

This is some towelette which is lemon flavoured. Uh duh.

Last product is this peel which I guess I don't really need it in the near future since it's more for anti-aging but I'm sure that it'd come in handy later.

Up to date, the best box as of now would have to be last month's. You can read about it here. I still can't stop raving it but since I guess that this month's theme is more of natural and being more organic and all, I guess the items come by pretty relevant.

Oh & I've accumulated quite a handful of points so I might redeem the points with the OCC Lip tars. We shall see how it goes.

Now, let's wait and see what is in store for us in February. :)

I'm still awake. I wouldn't be surprised if I've stayed up if it's a Friday night or the weekend but the thing is, I've to wake up for school (don't worry I'm not sleep blogging) in another say.. 3.5h's time? & not that I refuse to turn in but my brain refuses to.

I thought I needed a visit to the toilet so I made the trip. Later I felt hungry so I just finished few biscuits so what's next. Anyway, feels good typing away using the blogger app again.

Gosh I really need to fall asleep as I've a presentation later but on a positive note, school ends at noon. Alright, time to do some sheep counting.

This past week was a rather overwhelming one and I find that I'm still horrible as a person inside out (hopefully it's just the growing up phase) so I hope that I'll improve. Moreover with pms kicking in, everyone around me has a fair share of suffering from me. I'm really apologetic. I was taken aback from my doings from day to night. It can get pretty bad.

Thank goodness the week has finally ended and I've completed all school work-related that are relatively urgent at around 11pm so I can afford to chill for a little. It's 2.30AM now so I guess I'm gonna turn in soon but before that, here's a video that you have to watch if you love Maldives like I do.

My bro just shared this video with me and I've always known that Maldives is such a gorgeous place that it has long been included in my bucket list which I strongly believe that more than half of the items on it might not be able to be striked off in my life as 'germs' but here you go - a rather detailed tour of a resort in Maldives. :)

My life would be half completed if this is my honeymoon location but wait, to begin with, I must not turn into an old hag who has been left unwanted on the shelf. Lololololol Let's leave this to fate so meanwhile, I shall dream (literally) about my existence over there now.

Resolutions of 2012

So here comes the 1,000th post. It's pretty surprising to me that I've been posting here for years and it's only after handful of years later did the 1,000th post surface. I thought that it'd happen sooner but I guess not.

I've been thinking these days (what's new?) and I was hesitating if I should come up with new year resolutions because if you haven't already realized, I don't do that because it never work for me. Otherwise, I'm just lazy and just prefer to live the way the germs do it. However, I thought that coming up with few ones that are attainable might be more practical. Those unrealistic ones for me include sleeping and waking up early, exercising (wtf is this? lazy bum speaking) and probably keeping neat and tidy (yes I'm messy like that).

Well, being one who is going to be having existed on this freaking earth for 20 years in this month suggests that it's really time for me to grow up mentally. Really. So here it goes:

Read more. I truly want to read and get back the feeling of just being engrossed in a virtual fictional world but either time isn't on my side or.... I just choose to sleep than read. Ok my bad, I know.
Be more patient. I get irritated easily when things are not working the way it should be and sometimes I thought that the whole world owes me $ (I wish) but truth is, patience is what I need.
Dress appropriately because I live in shorts. I don't mean to be skimpily dressed which I ain't but these days I realize that if it's passable for most occasions, I'll just put on a pair of shorts and rush out of the house. All in the name of comfort. Tsk germs. I hope to switch to living in jeans so that my hideous and visible short tan lines will fade as well. I've managed to force myself to slip on a pair of shoes instead of slippers which can be mad comfy but at the very least, I appear more presentable and more tidy.
Punctuality. With this being said, I find it to be a very important virtue which I believe that many these days (myself included) have neglected. I mean I wouldn't mind and couldn't even be bothered if being late affects yourself but I freaking mind if it affects others. I had someone holding a rather high position in a company emphasizing the importance of that to me. (not in the case of getting reprimanded but she was just educating me) I can vividly recall her telling me that in this brutal society, every minute counts and no one can tolerate this shit. I believe we're still considerably young so we can't fully comprehend this but I hope that in time to come, I won't have to pay a hefty price in order to fully comprehend this simple sounding yet hard to achieve virtue.
Be more appreciative and forgiving. With so much going on in life, my brain can get pretty congested so much so that I take things for granted and assume that it will always be there. Truth is, this isn't the case. Regret shouldn't even appear in my life dictionary and I should not even allow ''if only i had..." to pop out from my mouth. Besides that, I really ought to stop any increment of hatred and dislikes within me. I do curse and complain a lot but I hope to stop these hatred. This includes even towards those who had once harmed me and instilled fear within me.

Oh well, those stated above may sound pretty cliche/theoretically right things to do and those 5 to-work-on things may seem little but may I reassure you that these kickass 5 are not easy at all. We shall see how it goes.

I'm working hard in 2012 for these. Since they're material items, I would only try my best to fulfill them one by one. Point to note, some figure that purchasing things from brick and motar shops equate to being conscious of brands. Hey dude & dudettes, slap yourself now. You need to freaking know that you pay for what you get.

For example, I had friends telling me that the pair which I got from SM could easily be found in other retail shops at a quarter of the price that I got but guess what? The next second I came across people telling me that the pair either decided to forsake them after few wears or they get blisters from them. Wahahahaha As for me? I've been striding in pride for hours as long as my feet could handle. Screw you if you ever comment that again. However, I do work on my capability and not going beyond what I can handle.

In 2011...

Today's the first day of school for the new term and I'm totally not feeling it. Well it's approximately 9 weeks away for graduation, not that I'm looking forward to it either.

Now I miss 2011 because now do I realize that it's pretty good and happening in a good way.

Let's see.

In January,

I visited the Valentino exhibition which had left a great impression on me.
I got my first perfume - Chanel Chance which I still freaking love it.
Got my driving license one day before my 19th birthday.
Turned 19 and I got my present in end of December 2010 which is my dearest iphone

February was a quiet but a rather saddening one (refer to Feb posts).

As for March, I had my internship which only lasted for 6 weeks but it was torturous enough.

In April, I fucking lost my wallet in the buffet place at MBS where I worked for few days. Damn.

May, I celebrated my best guy friend's birthday of which I treated him to the colorful xlb and it was also the month when I attempted to donate blood but my veins were a total let down.

In June,

it has got to be the best month ever because after countless years, I finally made it out of Sg and flew to Taiwan for a short 6 days holiday. I was rather hardworking and came up with posts for this trip. Day 1 can be read here.
Purchased the MJ wallet that I have been eyeing for months. Gosh it doesn't feel that it has been a good 6 months now.
Also, this is the month when I stopped teaching the kid who I had taught for almost a year back then.
I believe it was also in this month when I worked for IT Fair for the first time and I earned quite a fair bit but the one in Sept was horrendous.

July and August were the quiet months but I did draft a post on what would happen if I die young. I find this post rather important because 2012 is a judgement year. Not like I believe that it'd end. Ehh I won't jinx it. Please refer to it if I die before you.

September was the month when I spent a great deal of time working my arse off at the Robinsons sale as cashier. It was a pretty fun assignment despite having to travel to the east every freaking day but now I know how to fiddle with the cash register. Heh I think this was also the month when the bitches attacked me. Both parties were sure at fault but they had to all go against me and they didn't resolve the issue properly. This was the month when I visited club for the first time with school mates and conclusion is, not my cup of tea.

Now, in October it was the month when I came across BellaBox and was one of the handful who signed up for the subscription. It has been a good 3 months now. I had done posts of those but this is the post for the one in Oct. This is also the month when I had my second tuttee and it was hella an experience. Thank goodness it ended otherwise new windows wouldn't have opened for me. I was really fortunate to even have two assignments come knocking on my door. (See Nov for one of the good deals)

November was hell of a hectic month for me because it was the month when I first started working for Shu. I did few posts of those random moments but this is the first one.

December was a cool month because I just lazed my days away and it's the holiday season. I got myself this pair from Steve Madden which I can walk well in now. It's my first pair. In fact, there were times when I feel that it's rather comfy despite its given height.

Adding on, this is also the year when my collection of nail varnishes and makeup expand widely. Thank goodness the craze has finally died down. However, I did chance upon a handful of depressing posts and hopefully it'll lessen this year. Even if it does, chances are I choose to keep my feelings to myself. This is also the year when I truly felt that the friendship between my school friends and I gradually get more well knitted. It's really hard for me to feel comfortable around new people and for this, it took slightly past a year. I'd say that the best damn things are to still be in good relations with my family, fav girls (the trio) and the self proclaimed to be the #1 fan of this place - Andrew. :)

2D1N Soju Bang

This new year's eve, the girls and I decided to have a simple meet up of which we eventually decided to dine at 2D1N Soju Bang.

Basically we went to the outlet at Duxton Road but the queue was rather long so they led us over to another branch of theirs which was said to be "near" to this one. GOSH COMPLETE LIAR!! We were walking for whole 15mins and even had to risk our lives jaywalking (not a joke to be risking our lives on new year's eve and over those piles of meat). Basically it's situated in chinatown and it was definitely way emptier than the one we initially wanted to visit.

I'd say that the variety is average of which mainly consists of meat, meat and more meat. Luckily they tasted pretty good though over dosage of them may disgust me.

It sums up to exactly $26/pax so I'd say that it's an acceptable price.

The girls are pretty good at cooking and they felt that it was a fun thing but what I did was to eat and to occasionally check if my scallops and mushrooms were burnt. Nyeh

I think I either had a mouthful of drink or I just bloated up my mouth -_- & yes I chopped four inches of my hair off. It was freaking long (almost covered the entire of my back) so I felt like a witch. & don't ever freaking ask if I did cut my hair when it's evident that I did. oh no.. probably it just miraculously fell off when I was asleep. However, commenting is fine, just don't ask stupid question. This always happens. Always.

The place has 4 tv showing korean bands' MVs. We spent quite a while commenting and laughing about some of their weird moves. Heh

They're a ridiculously hilarious bunch. I just spent a majority of my time laughing away. That was indeed a therapeutic session.

Eh she rarely smile because she's cool like that but looking good here! :)

My dad was in the kitchen with my mom and the teevee in their room was on. The volume was set rather high so he heard the countdown on the teevee so as soon as the countdown reached 0, (clock striked 12) he said to my mom, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" He said rather loudly so I heard it from where I was.

After which, he shouted over from the kitchen to me (I was in my room) saying, "HAPPY NEW YEAR GERMAINE!"

HAHAHAHAHAHA Seriously...... can my dad get any cuter than this!!?!

While I'm on a train to work yesterday, like what I've always been doing everyday without fail, I tapped on the youtube icon on my phone and viewed what's those new videos posted. I came across this video which is tribute to a guy from his friend who I'm subscribed to for her videos for a year or two now.

I was rather taken aback about his death since I did view his videos before but it kinds of saddens me that he passed away at such a tender age.

From the subscribed channel's video, I was linked to the following videos of which I teared badly. They are videos which the guy posted about a week before his death on xmas with regards to his heart condition he had for his entire life. It truely touched me so I'd like to share them with you guys. His death and these videos wwere mentioned in States' online news and Kim K even tweeted about it. That's truely touching. Not to mention that in the videos, he even smiled after he flashed some of the words when the topic can be quite a depressing one (to me).

Do watch. Really.

Now I feel that I thought whatever shit that I've been facing are bad enough but truth is, it is incomparable to life-and-death situation.

Anyway, hope that 2012 will be a smooth sailing year for everyone. Well, to be honest, I'm very worried about mine. Alright, goodnight.

This post is in reply to anon and because my comment box sucks plus I refuse to figure out how to use blogger comment section, I have to resort to coming up with a post to explain. (My bad) Moreover I'd prefer if I can give a clear explanation. Also, I've decided to include the products that I use so that should anyone be interested, you can just click on the hyperlink. So here this goes.

1. I put on a primer and here I use Mac Prep and Prime SPF 50 (I don't recomment this product) to help to make my makeup last longer throughout the day as I rarely do touch up. Oh prior to that, I apply Clinique's Moisturizer too since my skin tends to be rather dry when I spend a lot of time in air-conditioned room.

2. The next step would be to apply foundation. For the past year, I've been using MUFE's HD Foundation which I highly rave. It's lightweight and most importantly, it doesn't cause breakout! Not any person who I know of so far.

3. This is followed by concealer. I switch up for concealer but for the past year, I've been using the Amazing Cosmetics' Amazing concealer which provides great coverage. Just a pea sized of it will do and a little goes a long way.

4. Next, set your face makeup and I prefer pressed powder over loose powder because I find the latter to be a tad too messy for my liking. & I've been liking Mac's careblend pressed powder.

5. So this is when it varies for different occasion. Basically my life revolves around 3 occasions. If I'm heading to school, I'll move on to curling my eyelash with Shu Uemura's eyelash curler. I'll skip eyeliner and apply mascara after curling my lashes. Mascara used varies as well. Then, apply creme blush (choice of blush is based on mood) and lastly, lip balm and viola! I'm ready to go to school. This will usually only take me 15mins.

(OK hope that this is not confusing you as of now.)

7. As for heading to work, I'll have to apply eyeshadows so I'll use UD's primer to prime my eyes and apply eye shadows. I'll apply eyeliner and the process is similar from hereon. That is, mascara -> powder blush -> lip liner -> lipstick. & that's all for work preparation. Preparation time takes around 40mins to an hour because I spent a ton of time working on eye shadows and blending them out.

8. Lastly, it'd be heading out with friends. So if I'm heading out with friends, from where I stopped, I'll proceed with applying eyeliner. From then onwards, the steps are exactly the same as heading to school just that I may apply lipstick instead of lipbalm. & I'm ready to head out the door! This will usually take me around 20mins.

Brushes are of satisfactory quality. 3. Had mac for 3 meals on a day. Big breakfast with parents, lunch was as seen above (I don't like the burger) and dinner was fillet-o-fish 4. Oh JB, orly?! 4. Medicine for 21 days, twice a day at exact timing (self set at 8am and 9pm) and this is totally not fun at all. Period. 5. Purchased these three which are dupes for armani's eyes to kill shadows. I had even caught a video on it from a subscribed channel weeks ago but didn't even care about it. 1. Colleagues bought me chocolates for xmas and I was freaking touched. Can't believe that my heart melted just over chocolates. -_- 2. Freaking nice chicken thing from wo ai tai mei! 3. There was this day when I hit sales target but the last crucial memo was lost because of this fucking cashier newbie who gave it to the customer. I was so devastated because this means that I'd have lost $15 for the day so I bought mcflurry to cheer myself up and it works. (so you know what to do if you make me angry) Thank goodness my colleague helped me to churn out another memo. Arse newbie. Curse you. (I had lost two memos before _|_) 4. Wearing patterned/ colored socks at home these days because my house is freaking cold. I guess it's because it's the monsoon season + there's no blockage around my house and what makes it worse is my room is facing this golf course + expressway. Besides that, sliding around the house spells fun. heh 5. Dinner at Pizzahut with my best guy friend. We had a lot to catch up on. The pizza wasn't good though. 6. The set of nails which had received tons of compliments from customers, colleagues and friends. ^^

I've been wanting to post since yesterday because I was so bored alone at home and started attempting to churn out a post but it ended up getting deleted. The words that I gathered weren't substantial enough to deliver a message or probably my thought.

I've been staying home for the past weekend and I've no idea why but I felt so at ease here. I guess it's probably all the things which are going on outside that I constantly have to keep my guards up. I've to ensure that I don't say the wrong words to offend anyone, do anything wrong that may cause trouble, etc. Basically just everything and anything that may land me in hot boiling soup.

I really appreciate how at ease I feel to be surrounded by my family. I can just be myself even if that means being an ungrateful daughter or annoying sister because at the end of the day, I know that they'll forgive me and they will cajole me even when it's my fault to begin with.

Well this must be the growing up phase and I really wanna just remain to be my parents' daughter forever and my brother's sister forever. Let this stay stagnant but in years to come, we will go our separate ways. If I ever get married, I'll move out and there's no way for me to disturb my brother every night or piss my parents off when they're at home. Neither will I receive texts from my parents asking me where I am when I've yet to reach home past midnight.

Because I will truly be on my own. From then onwards.

December 2011 Bella Box

Hey guys. I stayed awake till 4am this morning and I only woke up this early afternoon from the incessant ringing of the doorbell. So tadahhhh, i received my december bella box which I think that it's the best box by far! You will know why as you read on.

This time round, we received 7 items. gosh, so it's $2++ for each item on average and wait till you see the various prices of the items whereby two of which are full sized.

So one of the items in the box is this pair of lashes which is inspired by Samantha from SATC. Well I don't wear lashes but this is a full sized pair (lol are there even any sample sized lashes out there) which retails for $10.90 and the thing is we paid $15 for the box so that is more than 2/3 of the price. Seriously what does this indicate? SCORE.

& next... *drum rolls*

It's the lipstick from Savoir Faire. Truthfully speaking, I'm not very much exposed to this brand but I believe that it's a european brand. Guess what. We receive a FULL SIZED each and you have no freaking idea how much it costs.

Yes, $64. S-I-X-T-Y F-O-U-R. & this is the product which I like the most among all. It comes in this packaging which has this magnetic closure so it makes the product so sleek looking but it may be bulky. I've no issue with that though.

The color which I received is Risque. It's just a red and I'm very pleased that I receive this since it's a red which I feel comfortable to be in and not conscious that it'll bleed out from my lip. A lip pencil will work but sometimes I don't wanna pile on too much stuffs on. Well, I guess I shall first wear it to work. If it's too loud to people, I can just say that it's work requirement. You know, people judge.

Hehehe. I'm not lying though. My colleagues kept on asking me to apply lipstick because those which I prefer are those with pink undertones and more pinkish nude ones so I can experiment with colours on my eyes. More than half of the time, they will approach me and help me to darken up my crease because those that I put on are light to them. well

Besides that, we receive two of brightening fluid and mask each. Haven't tried it out though.

This is one which I'm quite puzzled. It's the Faust's Asleep Potion.

I read the directions and it's a consumable product but I always feel that it's like drinking some potion and I will be brought to another world. I also have to constantly remind myself not to drink this when I wake up in the morning because it's supposed to make myself drowsy. I guess I'll drink it on a night when I experience insomnia.

This comes by random to me. Jelly beans? Heh, they're long gone as soon as I ripped them open. I'm not a fan of jelly beans.

Last but not the least, a mini sized OPI polish in "Not Like The Movies''. I believe that it's from the Katy Perry Collection. I didn't purchase this colour when I saw the collection but I got the "Teenage Dream" and "Last Friday Night'', both of which are a pain in the arse to remove. /wrist

So the box also includes a $50 certificate off some face treatment.

I'd say that this is the best box for the past 3 months and the products that we receive get better for every month. My rave for the first month was the Aveda damage hair serum (it doesn't work on my friends though), second month was the OCC Lip Tar and this is the third month.

Hi guys. This has been something that I've been wanting to watch for the past 3 weeks ( 3 Fridays ago to be exact) because my friend and I decided to head to cine after a long day in school but the seats left available for the show was pretty bad so we decided not to catch it. Then, we headed over towards the direction of where orchard central is so that we can have our dinner and on our journey there, something happened.

Okay basically, while walking, we got approached by three people (two of whom you will see in the video) and one is the camera man. My usual self will definitely shun it but I guess I was too exhausted for the day (lesson from 8-5) that I didn't react fast enough so we got questioned of whether we would date this guy.

I didn't quite reply because it came by too quickly and never would I know that this sort of thing will befall on me but thankfully, our replies got cut off so I guess it isn't that bad. They even shot our shoes because my friend was saying that the guy must at least be slightly taller even after she has heels on. The female interviewer was asking me if I'm a love at first sight person and I said "no". heh But after watching all the parts, I kind of felt bad for the guy but reality is harsh. Sigh

Actually I didn't know about it until my friend whatsapp me and I was working so I had to calm my nerves till now. Gosh was that long.

My hair was in a horrible state tho and so were my squinted eyes but come to think about it, our part was kind of hilarious with the inclusion of the #awkward moment. (crickets chirping sound) Hahahaha you see, we really don't know how to reply without giving a negative response because it'd be rather mean. Hi guys. School holiday has finally commenced for me and well, it didn't start as good as I'd love it to be but I guess the holiday is pretty much overrated. Sign: Pending school project. What a lovely inviting holiday welcome present.

Anyhoo, I finally got to meet my fav girls today after my last paper and gosh was I excited. I didn't meet them to catch up for months. I believe the last time we truly hanged out together was during our taiwan trip. Yes, I'm not kidding you. That was like 5 months++ ago? I truly cherish how I can just blabber whatever shit out of my mouth without going through my bird brain and how most of the time they don't judge. (uh, ok probably not. LOL)

Not much elaboration today because I'm absolutely exhausted and I thought I'd want to pen down (see below) my new found love. I've been searching high and low for it after I tried my classmate's. There were so many brands selling the exact same pair (comfort level may be compromised due to the material used) but I saw one and went to check out in the store with the girls today.

(don't ask me what's going on behind my back. I think my outerwear got caught in my pants.) M took this when I think I was like looking at others so yup. It's so alluring in some way and I was towering over everyone. Heh

Alright, I guess I may update about it when I have it on my hands.

So this is a continuation of the above mentioned topic and I didn't want to create a new post because I thought that it'll be so draggy and it'll be like going on and on about it. I didn't want to elaborate till I got it on my hands and yup, I'm the official owner of the last pair that's in my size in sg (I asked).

They reserved for me and the only pair which was available was at MBS. I was wondering how I could make it down there considering I had to work over the weekend (reservation will only last for 3 days starting from yesterday) but guess what. I received a text saying that I don't have to work today. I always perceive such thing as a sign of prompting me to get it. Surprisingly, I woke up at close to 10 this morning when I turned in at 3 and prepared out.

You might think that I'm mad but this retails for 200 bucks and there's a pretty huge price reduction for it so why not. Moreover, I think that it's a classic design and not too fanciful that will be perceived as a trendy piece so it'll not be 'out of trend'. I strongly believe that I'll appreciate my 19 year old self for this purchase when I'm in my 20s.

& I finally own it. It's rather stiff now considering that it's new and I hope that I can break it in soon. Ah, I can't stop oggling at it.

Taiwan 2011 - Day 5

I really think that I'm shameless to be posting this only now (5 months ++ later) but I'm persistent in what I've been doing so since I've started, I guess I shall finish it. I guess you guys wouldn't mind either right? Heh So tadah, here we're on the final day.

This will be a rather short post in comparison to the previous days. The post on 4th day can be read here and previous days' links are stated over there as well.

So the day's feature would have to be Jay Chou's dining place (Mr J) and that's the only new place we went since we have to leave in the mid-afternoon to catch our flight back. Before we left sg, the girls did research and they learnt that reservation has to be placed so they called up the place when we were in tw. We settled for our brunch on the day that we're leaving tw. *inserts sad face*

I believe there're few other restaurants out there and this is only one of them but I think that just paying a visit once is sufficient.

Basically we took cab again (more than half of the time we took cab to places especially when we were all exhausted at night) and the cab driver dropped us at somewhere near a hospital. Then, they enquired some security guard who was stationed outside the hospital and I can vividly recall how polite and clear he was in directing us to the place but later they asked a passerby who personally walked us to outside the dining place. Gosh, taiwanese are super friendly!

The place isn't very big (to me) but I find it rather cosy and in the background you can see a staircase (from the entrance) leading to the second storey that is where the toilets are.

The menu's cover is designed to look like a music score book. Cool beans.

The utensils are placed like that. We didn't do it if you're wondering. [ -_____- } (lame whale) (Alright I shan't ruin the atmosphere. lol)

I'd say that the food is rather affordable and it ranges from sgd$1X to $2X?

That was me reading the menu very seriously. *points at my frown* E. was.. looking at the.. decoration (huge posters hanging on the wall).

I just realized that I've a button-nose. That reminds me of, "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose. And if you ever saw him, you would even say it glows." HAHAHA. Guess what, before I typed the second part of the song, "I typed, 'have you any wool?' " HAHAHAHA that was ba ba black sheep lah. #fail, Germs.

Food was pretty decent but I guess that was brunch and I usually don't eat a lot for early brunch so I didn't finish my food. E's squid ink pasta was rather good though.

Again, I was too full to the extent that I couldn't stuff the dessert down. Meh

I miss the girls. I haven't met them for months and I can't wait to see them once I'm done with my blardy tests for the term. :(

So like what I've said earlier on, the staircase leads to the toilet and I was rather taken aback by the decoration and all. There're only two cubicles. Not sure why I state this but I think 3 would be a decent number. Lol

We stayed there for an hour or two before we left. Before we did, I recall pestering PY to take the photo of the piano which was the one shown in the movie. (correct me if I'm not wrong) So coool. Cool beans X2

I was so close to touching it before I read this and decided not to. Well, I wasn't even born 20 years ago. I'd be like -1 year old? Eeeee

Okay so that finally sums up the whole 5 days of my trip. I think that wasn't sufficient. A week would be fine but that's only considering to explore taipei.

You have no idea how much I freaking love tw that up to now, 5 months later, I'm still catching their variety shows which I was watching there everyday without fail (98% true) and I can't stop raving about tw whenever my friends brought this up.

I pinky promise myself (left pinky to right pinky) that I'd be back. Probably to other areas of tw like taichung (for a theme park that I'm dying to go) and gaoxiong!!

Ok & lastly, better late than never, I'm very thankful of my travel mates for making the trip so awesome and how we coordinate on who bathes first. HAHAHAHA No lah, they're truly good shopping partners, eating partners (who eat everything and try everything without going 'eee' here and 'eeee' there) and travel partners. Not to mention, my good ol' sleeping partner (sounds wrong) who was a quiet sleeper (I have bad experience from camps) so that allows me to have well-rested nights over there.

Let's hope that our 2012 trip will work out! HUAT AH!!!!!!!

VS Fashion Show 2012

Here I am on a Friday night after a freaking long day in school sitting on my roller chair all bundled up in my hoodie and what's not to keep warm. I miss this place because the week is about to come to an end and I thought I should cook up something to fill this place before more dust lands and accumulates here.

Well I'm so hyped up now cause I just caught the VS Fashion Show for the year. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to watching it every single year! I'm so freaking excited when I tweeted that I wanted to catch this year's and my classmate replied me saying that she has it so she passed the file to me today. Not to mention that it's very clear so I had no problem watching it throughout the 45mins.

I would say that this year's show is done fairly well but I guess I prefer previous year's. Anyway, I see some unfamiliar faces on the runway. I was definitely looking out for those ladies who look gorgeous as always. Among all, I'm so pleased that she is rocking the runway. You know who for sure - see below. (Hint: First name starts with a 'M' and last name starts with a 'K')

Mei Tu Xiu Xiu On the Go!

Heh. No more instagrammed photos for now but I used this china app called mei tu xiu xiu. I guess many of you had already heard this app but I had long installed it but didn't really have the chance to explore it until just now after I had dinner with my grandpa and the adults were talking.

I edited few photos so I guess I shall not waste it and just share with you guys.

Played Blokus on several occasions when we had long breaks but had nothing better to do. This is rather addictive.

I tweeted about this shiny toilet bowl and received replies of those who were equally amazed too. The above photo was not edited at all to show you how shiny it was. In fact, it felt like it's a secret entrance to another world (read: harry potter). Heh, actually the only source of sunlight from outside the toilet was directed into this toilet bowl, thus explaining its shine. I was so appalled when I first stepped into the cubicle. LOL

Pretty decent chicken noodle thing from Holland V hawker centre which I had when my friends and I went on an impromptu trip there during a long break.

& I think that I'm really well-trained in dodging sneaky shots. Well can't help it when you have a friend who is always taking photos and more than half the time, I'm always caught eating halfway with few strands of noodles hanging out of my mouth or probably the pre-sneezing mode which are both equally unglamorous.

Bought this concealer from sasa because my amazing concealer by the amazing cosmetics ( I always have to state this because others may thought that i'm praising the concealer as amazing but that's the name of it. lol) company is running out. I've this maybelline one but this costs only $6+ after a 20% or 10% discount at sasa. This was highly recommended by a local rather famous makeup artiste and it's so cheap so i couldn't give it a pass. Definitely, it works pretty well. Adequate coverage and the consistency was thick without caking my undereye. It has the attached brush applicator like the stila lip glaze so I've grown into it. However, there's a slight mismatch for shade. Ah

Bought these 3 for 10$ phone covers just now because my current maroon one is actually a temporary substitution for my pink one which was overstretched so it doesn't fit my phone well. Colour isn't true to above because it was edited using the app but I'm using the far left one which I'm deeply in love with. Heh

These photos look awkwardly small and I've no idea why it turns out like this but I took the first one because I love how atas the toilet is when I was working at the counter in paragon metro just for a day many weeks back. & now I get excited to use those palettes and play around with colours. Not an everyday thing that I take photo of a mirror. LOL Okay I really like the app's design which makes photo editing so much easier and the choices of frames are wide. wheeeeeee

Favourite song of the moment! I had this on replay for so many days. I kid you not. I'm not typically a kpop song person but I like the melody of this song. Ok I'm not trying to confess my love for melody (my friend) indirectly. lol

Hey there. This is germs speaking again.

It kind of puzzles me why I've been so up to date posting here. That beats me too but here it is, today's will be about November Bella Box. (if you haven't read the title. lol) I think it must be the convenience of uploading photos through the blogger app and the photos are processed through instagram so well, everything can be done so swiftly.

This is my second month of subscription to this service and I've posted what I received in October so click here if you're kpo and wanna know. LOL Ok ok kidding. I was so excited to receive this month's because there's freaking OCC lip tar. It has been one thing that I've been wanting to try given how pigmented it is and you just need the slightest bit to apply the entire lip. The thought of having to order online and wait for shipment and all bores me out so can you imagine how pleased I am when they posted the photo of them having received the lip tars in their office from NY and showing them in a huge array of wearable colors? Heh

These were basically what I received.

Oh did I mention how anxious I were? I had two other friends who were subscribed to this as well and I was the one who started this. Oops. One received a really nice pink and the other a nude-orange colour of which was the one which I've been yearning for. I also learnt from BB's fb wall post that they were some other colours too which include a red and some fuschia pink which are complete no-no to me. I don't wear attention grabbing colours to school so I was panicking.

My heart was thumping while I opened the box within the box. Thank goodness I received the one I've been wanting.

Something which I like is that they pack boxes filled with different items and so not everyone will receive the same package. I received the same package as a friend last month and this month, I received the same as the other friend. Whoa

I've only tried the lip tar and it's truly amazing and I haven't really started trying all the remaining items. Okay probably I should start with the eye patch and body butter.

Actually the lip tar itself is worth the $15 for this month. We shall see what's in for next month. Heh

Nothing fancy for this post but since I've some time on my hands now, I shall show you how much taller I could possibly be if I manage to stride with a 5 inch high wedges everytime but this is too much for everyday purpose.

We had some roleplay as assessment and my classmate came with her 5 inches high wedge which makes her taller than us. After we were done with the roleplay, I asked to try it on and vrooooom! This was how much taller I was.

I'm currently approximately 163cm and I wanted to be at least 165cm tall since young. Although 2cm doesn't make much difference but... I still feel more superior if I'm taller. Hahaha kidding. I just prefer the different views and fresher air I get to inhale everytime.

& did you see the transition from left to right? I grow taller in each photo and look like a giant in the last. lolololol

Harrow. I had typed a whole chunk on the blogger app during my work break few days ago and I closed the app without saving it and voila, they're all gone. It was a live report and so it's quite unfortunate that I have to retype again.

Nothing's up these days. It's just the usuals - work-school-I.NEED.MORE.SLEEP-cycle. I'm not complaining since I chose to include work in my life but I'm really pleased that I agreed to this job in the end. I was even thinking of letting it go that very morning before I sign the contract considering that I had passed the interview. It would be a waste but well, talk about insecurities. All's good as long as I survived November.

Work has been kind of fun with my colleagues who are beauty stylists doing my face and the other trimming my eyebrows because it's too bushy (ie. forest).

I recall there was an evening whereby there was no crowd at all so he randomly said, "Can I do your eye makeup?" I was thinking, well since I'm heading home after work and we have so much time on hand before we call it a day, I shall let him paint my face. He spent his time slowly ''painting'' and ended up doing my whole face for an hour. The look was rather intense and it was rather out of my comfort zone but his blending skills for eyeshadows are so good. I could totally see gradient.

Yet another break alone and I had bk which wasn't fulfilling.

Sorry for the numerous snapshots of myself because I'm so conscious of how I look with whatever that I have on my face that I kept on using the front cam and decided to just take one and examine if anything has gone wrong - smudged lower waterline, chapped lips, stained teeth from lipstick etc. Showing huge arse big face here again, ehh I don't stretch out my arm at an elevated angle when I ''check out'' myself like how camwhoring should be done so don't be irritated by it.

On last Thursday, I went home to find the Nov bella box seated on my desk. Previously, we knew that we were gonna receive an occ lip tar but I was worried that I would receive a red shade (NSFW) because it's not a wearable piece for everyday. My heart was thumping while I opened the box within the pink box. I will share what I received when I've time on hands.

So last Saturday or is it Sunday, my colleague and I went to the anime festival at suntec during work with permission, of course. It's of walking distance from the counter and he bought two swords. Lmfao

I had to return to the counter because the other colleague has to leave while he went for his break so I was told to bring them back to the storeroom of the counter. I received few stares while bringing them back. Uh huh not cool.

Looking all slutty here. I was so worn out from work and you could probably see hints of shadows (black patch at outer corner) and drawn eyeliner on water line of which I don't think that it looks flattering on me. I feel so weird seeing myself not because I've not taken photos of myself for long. My prime age is almost over and smiling like a retard in front of a cam alone will only make me regret posting up here sooner or later.

Oh and I paid $8 for entrance fee. It was kind of pricey given that I had no intention of making any purchase in the convention hall and have 0 knowledge of anything anime related but I'm pleased that I did because it was an eye opener! So many people dressed up at as anime characters and there was one which I couldn't stop swooning over.

I was taking photos of the makeup he did for me which was damn brilliant so that I can imitate and try out when I'm free. Ehh of course I took one with my room light lit but I shut it for this one because my room is in a mess. I look normal like this at counter and not like a slut in the previous photo. lol

Actually I just want to pen down (in this case type out) my experience for the job because it has got to be one of the best jobs I had taken since 16. I believe such post will not end here. Sorry

Hi guys! Guess where I am now? Not in the comfort of my room or surfing the net during the boring IT-related lesson (oops!) I'm at subway & I'm having break for my work.

I didn't know that the blogger app is free because it was a paid app when I searched for it previously. Ah so happy now cause I can blog on the go and I have something to do if I'm bored!

I didn't even know that I had this photo until I was scrolling through my photo album the following day or so. If I'm not wrong, I was checking myself out through my phone's front view camera and I think I accidentally hit the button because I was trying to tap for the photo album instead. I have to make sure that I don't have food or sauce around me mouth because this is what usually happens and it's not cool if I face customers with a 'decorated' mouth.

I twitpic this photo on twitter when I had lunch alone @ MOS Burger during break and my classmate was nice enough to reply me with a 'Hi'. So grateful! Wahahahha Those are fries if you're wondering. o_O

This is an actual photo I took of myself to show my friends how insanely "opera'' I looked like. However, I'm too embarrassed to show the original photo since this one has undergone instagram effects and the colours have been toned down by 70%. I was told to report at one counter and later to another counter so the guy at the first counter helped me to add on because what I had on was defined as subtle. & I had two ''swollen'' cheeks. Lip was BAM. PINK! Not my cup of tea but I guess the strong lighting at the counter does help me to make me glow. Lol like a fairy. *self-deceiving*

This was me taking photo of a mirror. Lol okay but I was at the MBS counter for training and I waited for hours so I was bored and later got fascinated by the never ending pathway on my right.

Favourite beef noodle at wisma food court. I first tried it when I was 16 and I was working for world of sports back then. Those were the days when I had this almost everyday and I didn't even get sick of it up to date.

Timbre @ The Arts House

This is the month of Nov so it's the birthday month for 3 out of the other 4 people I hang out with in school. In celebration of that, we decided to meet & have dinner at Timbre on the only weekday that we don't have classes. (ie. Wednesdays)

We reached rather early as we didn't intend to stay out late since we have 8am lessons every single day when we have school. However, we were still early so we had around 15 minutes to spare before we were allowed in.

So basically these was what happened.

Oh & we were all still exhausted from school and hadn't recovered our energy. :( I am still so tired now. Meh

This is Siri & I'm Simi. Basically, we were trying JH's phone cause she just got 4s and I was telling the phone Siri that I was bored but I received no response but Gary replied me instead so since then, I just called him Siri. I remember that he took my fries and I instructed him "Siri, don't take my fries!" and he rebutted "Simi, keep quiet!" You know Mr Brown's show talking about Simi? Hahahaha So from then onwards, we were known among ourselves as Siri & Simi.

On the day before we all met, I was in town getting gifts for the guys so Gary texted me asking where we were. This was what he texted me, "Simi which train station are we meeting at?". I replied him instantly cause I always have my phone on my hand and guess what he replied? "Ok, simi is working perfectly lol"

Seriously.................... he is not my friend. LOL

We ordered two pizzas and a splatter. That came along with 4 Erdinger beer of which I shared one with YY while the rest had one to themselves.

Conclusion of the evening: I'm not fond of beers. Eeee

& I was so grateful that Siri let me have the egg. Yes, Siri is working well too. The pizzas and the splatter tasted so good!! Yum Yum Probably we were just too famished and we finished all the food within 20mins.

Oh & earlier on, we took polaroids too and I couldn't stop looking at them cause they're so frigging nice! All thanks to YY because I know that polaroids don't come by cheap.

Oh did I mention that there was this digusting looking uncle who touched my thighs on the bus? He did it once and he almost did it the second time but I stood up immediately and this douchebag alighted the bus immediately. Jerk. Ewww okay those who were on twitter would have known that. I'm gonna bring a pepper spray out and I need to learn to shout, "MOLEST!" No joke. Girls, please protect yourselves and be vigilant at all times because there're way too many packs of hungry wolves out there. Take care!

Well nonetheless, it was a pretty relaxing Wednesday evening. I appreciate times like these. Oh and an advanced Happy Birthday to Josh too! I'm joining him in being 20 very soon. Alright, now I can't wait for my next chill-out day.

Makeup Essentials & Basic Steps

This post is meant for a reader here and truthfully speaking, I'm so grateful that there's someone who I don't know reading this space. Thank you so much! I'll usually start with my whole grandma story but I shall spare you guys this time and jump right into the content.

Basically, I find that makeup is just a thing to apply to enhance a girl's confidence and up till now, I refuse to let makeup wear me but instead, I wear them. I try not to apply eyeliners everytime (I don't wear them to school) cause I'm afraid people will be shocked by how I look like without it. Torture X10 Also, I think that different age of girls should wear makeup that is ''appropriate'' for their age. I think it's kind of too much for.... say a sec 2 girl wearing eyeliner + eyeshadow + falsies. That's an example. I thought that's kind of important to know before one starts spending on it. It's a luxury item, not a necessity. Do keep that in mind!

Now I don't even dare to calculate the amount of money I had spent so far on these barang barang. :S

So since this is a 19 year old girl (I am 19 too!) who we're talking about, the following are the items which I'll suggest.

These items are those which I had personally used before and I've been venturing into high end ones but still, not necessarily expensive ones work well tho mostly do. I shall keep the items mentioned pocket friendly but don't worry, the quality doesn't compensate for it's low price.

Before I begin, photos are all taken from google.

1. Mascara

I would say that mascara is a ''tricky'' item. It's easy to get one that costs a lot but it doesn't work well. Having tried a handful so far, I would find myself constantly going back to the Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus. I'm on my second tube so far keeping in mind that I like to try new ones so it's rare that I'll repurchase one. This can be purchased at Watsons and it retails for $25.90. It's pretty costly to me especially when I first started buying these barang barang but now come to recall it, I'm pleased that at the bottom line, I purchased something that was worth the money and most importantly, works well.

To name some others off the top of my head, I think Covergirl's lashblast (Retail price: around USD$ 7)works pretty well too but the downside is it's a US product so I always buy online from US store and it'll take few weeks to reach me. Another one would be Bobbi Brown's Extreme Party Mascara (Retail price: USD$24) and it's one of the best high end mascaras I've used. It's worth the splurge but that's only if you have the $ to spare. Otherwise, it's just a luxury item.

I've also recently started using my Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara which costs only USD$10 and it works perfectly well for my undereye lashes. It doesn't smudge at all and lasts for an entire day. It also doesn't budge and have fallouts especially after I wake up from a nap in school.

2. Eyeliner

I would say that eyeliner is the most common makeup product (besides mascara) that girls used. Simply because it defines your eyes and widens them, hence making you look more awake. I remember there was once when I was removing them and I was so shocked to see the difference. Since then, I tried not to wear them everytime I'm out cause I don't want people to get used to seeing me with it on and should one day I don't have it one, people will definitely comment about how my eyes look so different, blah blah.

Similarly, eyeliners come in different forms - pencil, liquid and gel. I'm fine with liquid and gel but I think pencil eyeliners tend to smudge easily and isn't as long lasting as the other two.

For beginners, I would suggest liquid. Fret not if you can't get it done on your first attempt. Familiarity and success comes along with more tries - cliche but true.

The first one which I would recommend (one of the liquid eyeliners that I'm using now too) has to be Dollywink's liquid eyeliner. This can be found in Watsons too but if you're wondering, I got mine in taiwan. (Now you know why I always spend a great deal of time in there and applied for a Watsons card. -_-)

What I like about this eyeliner is it's felt tip so that allows precise drawing and it can be easily controlled too. Most importantly, it stay put. I wouldn't say that it's the most long lasting but it's generally acceptable. If you want the most long lasting eyeliner, opt for gel liner instead.

Another one that I think works well too is the one from K-Palette. It's sold in Watsons too. I've not tried it yet but I've read far too many reviews raving about it and they did show how long wearing it is. One thing for sure, this is the next one that I'm gonna try after I'm done using the one from Dollywink.

I think I should mention about gel liners too cause I think it's the best eyeliner so far (beats liquid ones) but technique wise, it requires way more practice to draw a perfect line but the result will sure amaze you. The one that I'm currently using is the Bobbi Brown's gel liner. I've not tried other brands of gel liner before because I swear by this product and I don't think that I will try others in the future. & I came across reviews that Mac's Blacktrack fluidline is on par with BB's or comparable to that so I guess you can choose either of them tho I would prefer Bobbi Brown's.

Oh you can try Maybelline's Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner too. It's sold in Watsons (hahaha I bet you're sick of hearing this place by now). I would say that it's incomparable to those from Bobbi Brown and Mac but if you wish to try gel liner before splurging on one, I think this is an ideal product.

3. Blush

Aha! I would say that this has to be my favourite product! I can live without eyeliner but not this. This seriously helps to bring radiance and colour to my pale skin. I've tried swatching blushes that are not high end and I find that the pigmentation is really horrible and it's so powdery so for this, I've yet to find a blush that isn't from high-end that suits my liking.

However, I do patronize this online merchant (they have a warehouse too) who sells products such as NYX which is one of my fav US drugstore brands. The stuffs are so affordable (below $10) and the quality is assured! Click here for the website.

I own the NYX creme blush currently and I love it!

Oh & not to forget elf (stands for eyes lips face) studio line blushes!! It costs only around $6 and the quality is so damn good for its price! I strongly recommend this. It can be bought from the website which I had linked above.

Otherwise, if you can afford, I would suggest going for Mac's blushes which retails for $35 but sometimes I would seek help from friends to get from DFS when they travel out of sg. Mac's colour range for their blush is vast and the colour payoff is great so I think it's worth the investment. It's almost impossible to get one that doesn't suit your skin tone! Beat that.

Just to branch out a little more, I've been obsessed with Nars blushes for the past months but I think that there're only few colours that are worth getting. It's at the pricier side but some of the colours are too pretty to pass up. Unfortunately, sg doesn't carry this brand to so I also get friends' help to get them abroad or order them from nars' website or via sephora.com

HAHAHA okay enough of blushes. You can tell how much I adore them right!

4. Foundation/ BB Cream

For these, I can't elaborate much for the choice of shade since it depends on individual and the user has to be present to try out the shade that match her skin tone. I'm only on my second bottle of foundation. I used to use BB Cream but it provides light coverage & I'm one who prefers at least medium coverage or full. Otherwise, I would just go bare-faced, so I don't have much experience in BB cream. However, I've heard of good reviews of the Dr Jart BB Cream so maybe it's worth the try.

Visit watsons and try the consistency on the flip side of your hand and see if you like it. Most importantly, do ensure that it matches your skin tone because you sure don't want to have a pale face but a tanned body right?

Foundations wise, the preference of either liquid or powder differs individually so I guess I shan't elaborate on that. Brand wise, I haven't tried much because one bottle can last really long and I don't apply foundation everyday (let your pores breathe!) so I haven't tried many. I'm using Makeup Forever HD Foundation currently & I wanna try their matte velvet next. Pardon me but I can't really suggest any drugstore brand cause they aren't of my liking.

For example, the Revlon's colorstay foundation has been a favourite for many but I don't like it at all cause the consistency is so thick that I feel as if I've a layer of oil slick painted on my face but if it suits you, go ahead and use it.

I guess everyone has different choices. However, I don't think that foundation is an ideal gift unless you get the user to try out her shade.

5. Others

There're way too many products that have yet been mentioned but the selection is too broad and is based on individual so I guess I shall just lump them all together - lipsticks, glosses, concealers, eyeshadows. I think those mentioned are based on colour preference just like blushes but usually, I can forsake these (but not blush and concealer) for an everyday routine. So I guess these don't require much elaboration since it's quite straightforward.

However, I would like to touch on concealers. Currently, I own the Maybelline mineral power concealer but I've yet to start using it because I'm still not done with the amazing cosmetics concealer. However, I tried Maybelline's consistency in Watsons before and I like it and the product is thick enough to cover undereye circles or blemishes on your face.

The one that I'm currently using can be purchased from sephora but I got mine off some website that was having a sale so I paid only around $30++ for it when it retails for $60++. It has become a hg product to me and I sure had gotten what I paid for.

Otherwise I've heard enough good reviews of the Mac's Studio Finish Concealer and that's another product that I'm interested to try out.

& one thing to note, the shade of your concealer should be one shade lighter than your skin tone but not too light though cause you don't want to see two patches under your eyes. Just one shade lighter will do as that will bring some brightening effect to your undereye circle.

Oh to touch a little on eyeshadows, whatever brand of that you use, just make sure that it's not in a too powdery form or there may be a lot of fall outs when you apply them and it can be a hassle when you have to clean them up on your face. I'm not really an eyeshadow person because sometimes I think that it's too much of a hassle when I'm just going to school to study but now I have to apply them for work. So, if you're wondering, I use Urban Decay's naked palette and Too Faced naked eye palette too. I like palettes better because they help to consolidate colours and they're convenient to be brought around too.

Steps for application:

1. Apply concealer by dotting it over any blemishes or undereye circles. Pat it into your skin and don't drag them at your undereye as that's where your skin is the most delicate and you don't wanna risk having prematured wrinkles.

2. Apply foundation by using a brush (I prefer this) or using your hand (not applicable to powder foundation) and spread it out evenly with your fingertips. Remember to spread some to on your neck because you wanna make sure that the colour is even on your face and neck and it's not "BAM! See I have two distinct colours on my face and neck!".

3. Use a loose powder or pressed powder (I prefer this and if you're wondering, I'm using mac's mineralized skinfinish or careblend powder) to keep foundation longer lasting. If you're wondering, pressed powder can be used to touch up when you're outside and when you realize that your makeup has worn off.

4. Next you can do your brows but I usually skip this step because I'm born with thick brows so I don't usually need to fill in any sparse place but sometimes if I want to be more ''done up'', I will use soft brown eyeshadow to fill them in. I use an angled brush for that.

5. If I apply eyeshadow, this is when I will apply it but I only apply once in a blue moon.

6. Apply eyeliner if you want. One thing to note, please do not tug your skin when you do this as this may cause prematured wrinkles! I always tend to have goosebumps whenever I see girls doing so. As soon as I know that it will cause that, I stopped whoever I see doing that and now, I've also managed to apply without tugging. I understand how hard it is especially when I first started applying. So girls, it's not impossible!

7. Apply mascara. I love applying them to both top and bottom lashes cause even without eyeliner, I will look more awake. The small trick to doing so is to wriggle the mascara wand from the root of your lashes all the way to the tip. Repeat the steps like two or three times. Don't overdo it cause your lashes will clump and it'll become spider lashes which I'm not a fan of.

8. Smile to find the apples of your cheeks and I use a blush brush and sweep the blush upwards. Remember to blend them in. You don't wanna look like you have two swollen cheeks. Not cool.

9. Apply bronzer. Sometimes I do if I look too pale or sickly.

10. Apply lipstick. I usually just choose one that suits the occasion (muted nude or pink if I've something to attend to outside after school). I also apply lipliner if I want my lipstick to last whole day because I don't really touch up my face throughout the day. Time isn't on my side to do so. Oh if you want to apply lip liner, please line your lips and fill in the colour on your lips too!

& with that, TADAH you're done!

Taiwan 2011 - Day 4

Hi guys. This is a continuation of the trip and I'm quite embarrassed to be posting it now after say... close to 5 months? But since I've already begun and am left with two days worth of pictures to post, I shall not give up. Bear with me and the last day was a pretty short one since we had to catch a flight back. & this is the second last day there.

Firstly, if you're interested, you can read the posts of those previous 3 days we had here, here , here and here. I've no idea what's the motivating force behind me to put all these all up.

So Day 4 was a pretty long one cause it's technically the last full day here. As our itinerary had kind of messed up since we ended up switching places due to unforeseen situations, we decided to head to the zoo.

I remember that I came across some girls going to the zoo when they were in tw and I thought that was a dumb thing to do since it's just animals but boy was I wrong! I'm so ashamed now hahahha my bad my bad.

It was a relatively fun trip and we didn't have the time to comb every nook and corner of the place. :(

Breakfast was at some place that's similar to yoshinoya. I've no idea why it reminds me of that but the food was blah and you can see Khoo trying to catch a nap and she was sitting upright. Hahaha why my friend so cute!

We took the train to the zoo station and I thought that the place can be easily located. So we took the gondola and we had a choice to take one with clear base or one without so we chose the former. Hahahaha it was a rather interesting experience especially for someone with fear of heights but I thought that mine had been semi cured since I didn't feel the least bit of jittery when I was in there.

We chose to take the cable ride all the way up to the highest point which I had forgotten what the height level was and that was where we rested awhile (it's was a sweltering hot afternoon!) and we took the cable ride down to the zoo station. & not to mention that the zoo entrance fee is so damn affordable and in comparison to ours, it's way much more interesting too.

& if you read the notice on the pillar at the top left hand of the collage above, it actually meant that the day which we went to take the ride was actually the last day that it'll be operating and after that, it'll be closed for maintenance. Oh my goodness, I was so grateful since we were so close to not being able to take it!

& a random side note, I've no idea why we were so amazed by that bug above. Mmhmmm I think must be its a colour, yes, must be. Isn't it kind of pretty?

My friend here is scared of heights and she was holding onto the rail so tightly throughout the journey and that was my pointing finger. We had to shift next to her to take group photos. HAHAHAHA So cute!

The view was so breathtaking and to be honest, it was rather scary if you were to think that our lives were supported just by a thick ''string'' with the cable car hanging off it. Woah, that sounds rather intimidating to me.

Insanely cute penguins!!! *squeals*

Oh & they built this building just to house these pandas and it also has this merchandise store where I bought one palm-sized panda key chain home to commemorate that I was there. I saw ginormous ones in the store and it's two times larger than the one you see above. I wished I could lug it home. :(

We also went to see those owls, gorillas, etc and the building which house the pandas would be close in the evening so we had to make sure we were in time for in and thankfully we were. I can't afford to take an airplane back just to see them lah.

Then, we went back to ximending where we went to buy two huge cups of milktea each (that was rather insane) but I sort of managed to finish one before I turned in that night and one the following day. Luckily there's a mini fridge in the room as well.

Our next destination is a rather exciting one to me. We did some research before we went and we came across this place which was rather unique. The interior design of the place, I mean. You'll get what I mean as you read on.

There were these two set meal options to choose from and since there were 8 of us present, we had 4 sets of each option so that we get to try two sets worth of dishes.

Probably we were the last customer of the night or something so we had our meals in a rush and the waiters kept on bringing food up to us and it's like we were urged to finish this dish. I must say that this is a horrible experience. I swear I wanted to slaughter them.

I thought that the meal wouldn't be a fulfilling one but I was so wrong. I could bearly move myself after eating and the food was good too but it would be better if we could eat slower and taste every bit of each dish. Oh in the collage below, the roasted meat at the top left hand corner is the worst meat I've eaten.

I'm not particularly picky in food. I guess my parents have trained me to eat everything and I do but the meat was so stiff and I could bearly rip it off without running the risk of having dropped tooth. -_-

The meal sums up to around SGD$60 per pax but I thought that it's quite worthy given the eccentric interior decoration of the building and the food was acceptable too. (minus the roasted meat).

We left the place at past 10 and we went to take shuttle bus back to the train station. We had to ask the locals for directions and they were very friendly so we still managed to find our way there. One regret was to not take the ferris wheel which was situated on top of a shopping mall. Hahahaha I love ferris wheel what, CANNOT MEH! *sensitive* *defensive*

We went to a night market again (I think) and we took cab back to the hotel again. #bestthingtodoafteralongday

It was back to the usual routine of bathing, slurping on my milk tea while watching the variety show, trying out this pudding within an egg shell thing (so blardy damn cool!) and slept.

I'm currently caught in a dilemma. There's this 15% off this website which includes Deborah Lippmann's polishes. I've been in love with them for countless months but I refuse to spend till I get my allowance the next month since I just managed to recover from my Taiwan trip expenses. Le sigh

One bottle costs around $35 and this worths around 3.5 bottles of OPIs that I can get but...... there's usually no discount for them. Why oh why. I haven't been getting polishes for months since I've gotten almost all the shades that I would possibly like but these are absolutely irresistable.

HAHAHA what a long title. Can I be any more creative than this? Okay I'm kidding.

I was at the computer room in school library with my friend during a long break and he was on facebook so he suddenly asked me, "Is this you?" I looked up and was rather in shock. It was the first thing that appeared on the news feed since we have mutual friends.

New Job

Never have I felt fatigue engulfing me during the holiday and just over one week of school, it has taken a toll on me. I'm not kidding especially when school starts at 8 every single day with the exception of Wednesday.

Alright so now that I'm 4/5 done with the school week, there's something semi happening to me. That is, all thanks to my friend's introduction which I can't express my gratitude enough, I went for the interview for a cosmetics brand and just over two days (everything just seem to happen in a blink of an eye), I'm going to start working at their counter. Specifically speaking, from the beginning of this weekend and I was told to go to their MBS store for few other days as well.

I've no idea how things are gonna turn out but I'm really pleased that I'm finally working in a field which I'm absolutely have interest in. Which girl doesn't right? Okay that's a sweeping statement.

But come to recall about it now, everything just happened too quickly and I can't quite figure out my feeling now.

I guess we shall see where this work will bring me to.

So here comes the monthly meet up with my best male friend ever! HAHAHA It's darn cool to have a himbo (cross reference to bimbo) friend to hang out. This time we went to kbox in attempt to sing. Hahaha may I emphasize again that it's an ''attempt". I can't sing for goodness sake, at most, I think I... mumble or something.

Oh and I remember something! We were heading towards scape and someone approached me for survey so I said, "Sorry I'm rushing off!" Guess what Andrew said to me after that? "Hahaha Rushing off to sing!" HAHAHAHA I swear I laughed so hard!

Before we left, I spilled a drink on the seat and I was worried that they might call Andrew since he left his phone no with them. Luckily they didn't call him or demand for compensation!

& there's a 10% off if you have a dbs/posb card which is a very common card to own so luckily we're eligible for that.

October 2011 Bella Box

Today I woke up to a pink box on my desk and the first thing which came into my mind, "Oh! My Bella Box is here!!"

Soon enough, I found myself unwrapping whatever there are to see what are the products inside. Truthfully speaking, the night before, I had already known what are the products inside so I guess the excitement did die down a bit but nonetheless, I was still pretty excited to try them out. Moreover, this is the very first box which they sent out so I got 215 credits points so that is equivalent to $20 reward to spend on. Woohooooo

If you haven't already known this, Bella Box is a monthly subscription whereby they will send you 4-5 products which you will not be informed what they are. It costs $15. Well... you see I like to try new products so without hesitation I decided to join in.

Before this, I was aware of the presence of Birch Box and that's something similar to Bella Box but the former is for those who reside in States and I've been coming across youtube videos of their monthly birchbox products! Well so these are what I receive for this month.

These are the close-up shots of the sample sized items. I was at their facebook wall just awhile ago and I wasn't aware until then that in fact, 3 different sets of products were sent out! Haha, now I can't wait to ask my friends which box did they actually receive! Since next month's onwards stuffs will be customized based on our beauty profile, that makes the products received individually more distinct. Woah

To be honest, this month's products are pretty good, though they are not to the best of my liking but I don't dislike them either since some of them will come in handy for me so I guess I will try out for another month and see how things go from there. (: Hopefully there're OCC, OPI and korres next month.

So this is the usual round up as of few hours ago for what I've been up to! Hehehe I guess it's pretty obvious that I've so much time on hand that it took me some efforts to achieve what you see below. I used a phone app and later a computer program to include those chapalang. Hahaha I love spending time doing these nonsense. Hehe

Well so today's Wednesday (Time check: 1:44AM) and I'm almost half way into my last week of school holiday. It has been a really great break so far after working for two weeks and to just laze around everyday. Not to mention that the weather has been especially good these days so much so that it's perfectly ideal to just snuggle in my bed till late!

This is a lollipop by Chupa-chup. What makes it ''unique'' is that it's two ''tiered'' and it tastes pretty good to me! I'm not really into lollipop but I definitely can't pass this off. We were given one each by another colleague of mine during work and if I'm not wrong, this isn't sold outside but only at the expo sales or something. I've never seen it before and I'm so glad that I tried it! It was priced at 2 for 70cents only and I'm pretty sure that I'll get some at the expo sales (yes, again) at the end of this month.
McDonald's horlicks mcflurry! I first tried this when I was at Sentosa last month when they had this 1 for 1 coupon so as long as you present this to their staff, you're eligible for this promotion! If you haven't already known, I love oreo mcflurry quite a bit so I was somewhat excited to try this out. I would say that it tastes fine but I guess I'll get sick of it really soon giving the amount of mcflurry I consume each month.
Super crunchy and generously sized caramel popcorns which I bought from expo sales after work and it tastes so good!! I shared it with my bro the second day after I brought it home and it was gone on that day. Gonna purchase another tub again at the sales. Oh oh & the popular taiwan beef noodles too! I overheard some staff's conversation that it's only recently that they managed to bring that in!
I was so stoked over a hotel's toilet which I was in! Sorry but I've this unimaginable obsession over clean and ginormous toilets.

For the past month, people have been commenting on my nails. I guess those who had already known me for long would have known that it wouldn't be a surprise to see freshly painted nails every week but apparently, my colleagues were still new to that. Anyway, I had Essie's Smooth-Sailing on. Colour's not true to picture.
Visited Minds Cafe for the first time last week with colleagues. I believe everyone had fun that night!
I was at the Punggol area with family and we were quite early for buffet so we explored the area. Dad and I came across this area where the yachts are ''parked'' and I got so excited for no reason. It was my first time seeing a whole row of yachts which varies in sizes so upclose.
Sakura buffet at Marina Country Club with family last weekend and it felt like I swallowed a whole cow down my throat after the meal! I thought the meal was pretty decent since there're shabu shabu and steamboat. Ahhh I love having buffets!
I attempted to make cookies using Betty Crockers' and I believe it should be so simple for me to handle but in the end, much help was received from my family. Ahhhh loser with a L on your forehead (haha old school joke) but fortunately, the cookies turned out edible or probably pretty tasty. Credits go to them.
Chocolates which we received from our supervisor after our short 4 days of practical training in R @ Centerpoint.
& 15. I tried out this nose strip mask and it came in this tacky liquid form. It's supposed to dry up awhile later and you have to strip it off your nose. Thereby, those dirts and what's not on your nose will be removed. I was pretty skeptical about it in the beginning but I was so elated when it works! Hahaha I love trying out new products and I would be super pleased when results are delivered!

Alright Give yourself a pat on your back if you made it this far without skipping the whole chunk above! Hahaha I had no idea that I would type this much. Anyway, I signed up for the Bella Box subscription and I can't frigging wait to receive it this week! Further elaboration when I have it on hands.

Today (or tentatively yesterday since it's 2 in the morning now) over the dinner, my mom brought up about my 21st birthday celebration. Wait wait, don't get me wrong, I'm turning 20 next Jan. Hahaha I see your puzzled face! It seems like many girls do hold a celebration on their 21st.

I've no idea why but birthday celebration has never grown on me considering that I even went tutoring on my 19th birthday and the day just went by like any other normal day. The point is the joy of celebrating birthday just fades with each passing year. Otherwise, the probable reason is that up to date, I've not had any birthday party. I'll be tearing behind closed door (Hahaha please keep this a secret!) whenever my family sings me a birthday song and presents me a birthday cake. I'm more than satisfied and feel so blessed for that.

I believe it's the increment of having to shoulder more responsibilities and having much more burdens than before scaring the whole shit out of me. We'll see how it goes but speaking about birthdays, I WAS (may I emphasize that it's in past tense) thinking of getting myself a tiffany. Now I'm kind of unsure about doing so to mark the start of the '2' as well as graduation from poly if everything goes as planned.

Months ago, I was looking through the catalogue of tiffany's jewellery and nothing much caught my eyes. I was into their bracelets and charms but being me, I was aware that I might grow sick of it eventually. Okay, days like these I've no idea what I want. Two things for sure, I still love the turquoise coloured box and how the bow is always perfectly tied and laid on the box.

This post may come by to be pretty abrupt but I was actually just recollecting my day in the comfort of my room.

Hi guys! Here I am spending my Saturday night with Gerome. That's a name given by my friend for my lappy after I requested for one on twitter. Note the similarity: "GERmaine" and "GERome". HAHAHA Okay craps aside, I was at minds cafe the other evening with my fellow colleagues. This was our very first meet up ever since work has ended on last Monday.

I would say that the night was fun filled with all the initial grumbling to walk under the heavy rain with only slight shelter from our umbrellas to the cafe followed by all the shouting, screaming (I guess it all came from me), slamming against the table top and racking our brains when we were playing.

Now that I've mentioned it, the joint of my thumb still hurts from all of the hitting of table. Hahaha

Please don't ask me what that dude above was trying to doing. We have no idea too. Hahahaha

On our journey home, they were discussing about the next trip and came up with somewhat insane ideas. We'll see if there's a next trip then.

I was cleaning my brushes and tidying my stuffs since the small little corner where I keep them became pretty chaotic after having undergone the whole use-and-dump cycle for the past 2 weeks or so. I was collating and as well as fixing one of my blushes since I dropped it the other morning when I was preparing. Kill me, jeez.

I don't dare to calculate how much I had spent on them and not to include those palettes, brushes, other face products, backups and what's not that are not shown here. -_-

I love to share nice products with everyone since I've friends asking me for new products to share every now and then but I'm kinda shy to put it out there cause it can be quite a girly thing. But wait, I'm a girl what. I guess that justifies me doing that.

Well... maybe I'll do it one day. Afterall, this is my space, right?

Now that I finally settle down and have my fingers dancing away on the keyboard. I basically spent my whole of yesterday catching up with whatever that I have to over the net and so today shall be the day when I keep this place updated!

If you haven't already know, I was working for the past 12 days at the expo sales for everyday apart from a day off. That place felt like a second home since I spent a majority of my time there and as soon as I reached home, I found myself hitting the sack very soon and from thereafter, the cycle repeats.

I would say that I had learnt a lot from this job, besides the obvious cashiering skills but the people who I worked with are plain awesome. Is it the case that we're not competing for sales (eg. job @ IT fair) so that makes the whole knowing-each-other to an entire new level?

We were introduced to this GroupPhoto app and that makes photo taking slightly easier.

Come to think about it, I'm pretty surprised that we are able to talk everything putting into consideration that we only know one other for 2 weeks and we differ in age.

Whatever it is, this has finally come to a beautiful ending and now, I'm left with 2 weeks of holiday before school starts.

Why do I always have to remind myself of that. Seriously?

On the Job

Hey guys! It feels like I just went "Poof!" and disappeared from the surface of the earth for the good past 5 days. It seems pretty short but come to think about it, I was alive and kickin' working my arse off (not that I have a choice but I signed up for this) at the expo sales so much so that my energy has been drained off at the end of the day that I had to remain seated and just catch up with anything I have to over the net. Then, off to sleep and the routine starts all over again.

I'm not complaining since I'm spending my sch holiday to the fullest and today's my off day so I guess I should just write a little here. It feels so refreshing to be here again.

Actually besides the salary that matters for working, I'm truly glad that I picked up new skills (communication wise and cashiering skill) every time and I grow as a person. This does sound kinda 'holy' but I'm pleased that I'm not wasting my time at home everyday.

Oh did I mention that lately, everyone's been commenting about my appearance. Okay simply put, the first comment was that I looked like an indo-chinese and later, it's Malay and yesterday, it was a mermaid. Do I look fishy to you? Hahaha

So later, I'll be off to visit my tutee since today is the only day of the week I'm free for lesson and I've 5 more days before this job ends.

Taiwan 2011 - Day 3

Day 3 of the trip saw us heading to the fisherman wharf first straight after breakfast. It's situated at Danshui station. The day is rather simple since we visited wufenpu again after that to finish exploring all the shops and later, we had dinner at where we had the night before. Then, once again, it seemed to be a night routine for us to visit ximending (since it's like 10mins walk from where we stayed) and with that, the day was summed up.

The sun was high up and scorching hot in the day. I would say that the weather was relatively nice and I would even love to chill for a day over there but unfortunately, we had to travel to other places as well.

In the morning, we were pretty famished so we had breakfast at xmd. Most of the shops don't open until 11ish so we asked around for places to eat but the attempt wasn't fruitful so we just ended eating at a stall which I think is the only one opened.

I really like how we can easily know the way to travel to a particular place just by looking at the train station and they did check out which bus to take over there.

So you know girls..... and with camera on hand, this was what happened..

PY's camera is pretty cool. It has those functions which can make you look bloated, alien-ish, etc (like what photobooth has) so that explained the attempts of us to look.. I guess, weird. Lol

If you're wondering why the photo on the top right hand corner of the collage above is upside down, the photo turned out this way on the com and the girls decided to let it remain as it is cause it's cool and they had it set as their fb profile pic. HAHAHHA I laughed so hard from it!

We took a short bus ride and soon enough, that was what welcomed us!

All in all, I would say that the place is so breathtaking and... windy! Hahaha I believe those pics of our hair all over our faces are enough to depict that.

So after we were done with the place, we went to this store which is pretty popular for the eggs they sell.

Along the way, we each bought drinks from those bubble-tea-like stall and later, we heard all these dong dong qiang. It appeared that the string of 'dong dong qiang' is never ending so as a result, we had a pretty hard time trying to cross the road over to where the egg stall was.

There was a whole row of shops and I remembered visiting this hello kitting shop as well.

From there onwards, the day went on as mentioned earlier, that is, to wufenpu to ensure that we combed each corner of the place (made great purchases!!), had dinner at the place which sells pretty good beef rice. I think it was that day which we visited the shilin night market (I tried the smelly toufu for the very first time there & had those popular street snacks) and went to this pretty bz street which was bustling with activities.

I can reassure you that they taste so so so good that we went to have it again the following night! Ahhhh, I really miss these so badly now as I type. ):

Well, so later we took a cab back to the hotel to put down our loots and off we went to xmd again.

It was a pretty fun day, for sure and now, I really miss those fun and daily routine I had - eat, shop, sleep.

Are you aware that besides planking (which I absolutely think that it's a retarded thing to do. Sorry but I'm old school like that), there're other 'in' things out there as well.

First, if you haven't already know, this is planking:

"Planking" (or the "Lying Down Game") is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.

So guess what? Today I learnt that there're other fads out there and well... I can't believe that they can be turned into fads too. Here you go:

1. Owling

Owling is a variation on planking in which a person squats "like an owl".

2. Horsemaning

The objective of horsemanning is to make it appear that the photo’s subject has been beheaded. Horsemanning requires two individuals, one situated with their head hidden (i.e., tilted backwards) with the other hiding their body and exposing only their head.The resulting photo appears to show a headless body with a disembodied head laying beside it; in fact, it consists of one person's body and a different person's head.

3. Teapotting

Teapotting is one of the many variations of planking that arose shortly after planking went viral. Teapotting consisted of bending the arms in a shape of a teapot in reference to the children's song "I'm a Little Teapot". This variation was created by teachers in Mortlake College as an attempt to create a new 'craze' after viewing the amount of attention planking received.

Why am I so pale?

So the other day, I hit the beach. I guess I've just been in contact with Gerome (name of my lappy, that's if you didn't follow me on twitter so you wouldn't know, hehe) so much these days that I thought that I would love to visit a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city (not that Sentosa is very far from all the noise lah) & all the technology related stuffs. Coincidentally, this woman here wanted to suntan since she has tan lines which she's dying to get rid off so there we went!

I love re-reading books tho it can be quite boring cause I somehow still remember parts of the storyline.

I was checking the weather forecast the day before and it was very likely that it would rain the following day. I was so worried that we would spend the day under the shelter. Thank goodness the dark clouds were blown from Siloso beach to Palawan so we shifted over to Siloso. LOL

& this photo is so misleading. May I clear the air please since people who saw this have been enquiring me. Basically, the woman you saw above loves to take sneaky photos of me since I'm like the only moving object (human, in this case) who she knows so I have to shun away or give her the talk-to-my-hand action to prevent snaps. In this case, I was so tired that I decided to lie down awhile and close my eyes for 5mins. Suddenly I could hardly hear any sound so I opened my eyes and saw her camera pointing at me so I frowned, "snap!" and that explains the above photo.

She had my legs and right hand cropped away otherwise you might be able to see me grabbing stuffs so it might not appear as misleading as it is now. Oh nooooooo I need to get a camera and attack her!

& this is one of the handful of sneaky shots but the most !@#$%^ one. Alrighty, so now you understand.

We saw this child a couple of times when we were at the beach, mac, etc and good gracious! the child is cute and the mom is hot! So that's twice the serving of attractiveness! *fan myself*

Y I SO PALE!

Anyway, I wasn't intending to suntan anyway. You know it's a bitch when the shade of your face and body is different and if it differs, that suggests having to get a new foundation. This also equates to spending $. No thx.

This is one of the sneaky shots of me and this is the woman who dreamed about me. Hahaha She just texted me saying so. Hahaha The sun was so glaring that I could hardly open my eyes and had to squint to read the words. It felt so good having your legs soak into the sand and just letting sun ray hit on you. It actually felt comfy and that's pretty surprising since I'm not the outdoor girl.

I literally giggled to myself when I saw this. Lesson learnt: Never take words literally.

Oh and if you're wondering what the hell is the patch of thing on my shin, it's actually bruise. Yes, I've no idea when did I get that. I was thinking hard and so my conclusion is that I may have gotten it from the split I did outside a coffeeshop.

Okay here's the grandmother story. So I was going to a coffeeshop to have my lunch alone and at the very last step I made before I entered the place, I lost my balance and slipped so that was when my front foot (which was the right one) skidded and tadaaaa, I did a split!

It's okay, this is one of the many embarrassing moments I had but I stood up the very next second and appeared as if nothing had gone wrong. If I hadn't done so, one more person might have witnessed this situation.

There's another bruise on my knee as well and that was from the huge fall I had off the stairs but you can't really blame me. The staircase area was dark and I think I was half blind so I missed two steps. I guess you can imagine what happened after that. Well.. it's okay. I've long gotten used to the fact that I'm prone to injury.

So we agreed to just walk around Sentosa and we chanced upon this swing and I thought that it's an immovable seat so yup, I almost fell off the swing when I sat down. Applause, everyone! -_-

& if you haven't realized (that's the intention of showing the photo below), the patch of bush or whatsoever it is called, is in a love shape so we took a photo together. Awww how lovey-dovey we were!

Awkward smile I had or rather a rigid one plus my very obvious bruise here.

I haven't visited Sentosa for months and most of the time I went there were for school activities which would usually drain all my energies out. Anyway, there's this newly built indoor sky diving building and we spent a good 30mins or so looking at people ''flying'' and the amount they spent were pretty ''good'' too. That's some amount which a child like me who is slogging hard can never afford. Okay, bullshit lah. It's true that I can't afford but um... I've fear of heights as well. -_-

& lastly, my hair was photographed like 5 times or so. I think she's really obsessed over me lah! Hahahaha Ok kiddingggg

I shall turn in now with a full tummy - dinner @ crystal jade was so fulfilling! Yum Yum! *rubs stomach continuously*

Hahaha What a shame to be posting only after 2 months++ of this trip but I've nothing on hand to do and so I guess sorting out photos and editing them accordingly is likely to kill some time. Moreover, it may be sleep inducing so here I am!

Moving on, rise and shine at 9 in the morning!

It felt so good having my energy recharged for the long day ahead and I was pretty excited since that was when the whole exploration would truely commence. I was the second to be awake anyway.

According to the itinerary planned, we were supposed to head to some sunflower farm but breakie first! We were unsure of where to have our breakfast but didn't want to just eat at some normal shop so we asked the concierge of which we were directed to some shop which was supposed to be pretty renowned there.

Hah morning faces!

Khoo's dress from topshop is really pretty! She received compliments from people and we were joking about how she could possibly receive a tan from it and her skin would have that zig-zag tan. HAHAHAHA Mad hilarious!

It took us quite awhile asking the locals the exact location of the shop and we were later told that it was actually situated near another train station and it wasn't of a walking distance from where we lived.

I was so elated when we finally managed to locate it cause we spent quite some time travelling there considering that we took public transportation as well.

Food is acceptable (not that I dislike) but I don't usually eat much for breakfast so I had an adequate amount that lasted me till mid afternoon.

Here I was wearing Khoo's hat which was pretty cool. Khoo is cool. Hahahahaha

We were done eating pretty quickly and decided to just take a cab to wherever the farm was but the cab drivers told us that the farm was situated near the airport which would be quite far from taipei city so dang! We had to have a change of plan and shifted the following day's itinerary forward.

Next destination - Jiu Fen Old Street

We still had to take a cab and it was relatively far. The cab ride was pretty smooth sailing and the three of us who were seated at the back fell asleep. I wouldn't be surprised if we were sent to some ulu place and be sold.

I would say that the place sell those ornaments and food like an ''old street'' does. (if that makes any sense) and a visit will suffice so I guess I won't go there again.

It's a refreshing experience nonetheless and the scenery was awesome!

There's this shop over there which sells quirky stuffs and it amused us quite a bit. Lololol

The sun was scorching hot that day and I was sweating so much that we had to rest. We visited this shop which had photos of the shop owner and celebs who visited the place.

What truly amazed us was that the shop had photos of the shop owner pasted all over the wall. Initially, we thought that she had so many self shots but we realized that they were just repetitive. -_-

Look at the bottom left hand corner of the collage above - photos and more photos of her.

Oh, I purchased this postcard thing which had this cloth printed with animal thing and you had to stuff some cotton (provided) in between and there you go - a stuff animal! I bought the zebra (see above) and peachy pink looking elephant.

That was where I first came across and smelt the smelly toufu of which I tried the following night or so.

So breathtaking!

We tried taking several snapshots of us with the background but we failed badly so we asked a filipino to help us to take a photo.

We were done combing most of the shops so we were all ready to move on to the next place - Taipei 101.

The only transport down is by cab and so we fell asleep again. I mean us who sat at the back. So sleeeepy ZzZzZzzZZz

It's a relatively touristy place and rather similar to sg's paragon except that we had the choice of paying a hefty price and go all the way up to the 101st storey and take a look at the scenery of the city. There isn't much thing to do over there so we visited the miu miu and long champ boutique. Hahahaha wth

Wahahaha I'm surrounded by pretty friends!

We visited their 7-11 too and the variety of readily made food is pretty vast (at least better than sg's) and they had this area for people to eat. It's totally appropriate for people like me who need an adequate place of eating alone.

Then, moving on to the highlight of the day - Wu fen pu.

Our initial plan was to visit there the following day so imagine how excited I was when I knew that we were going there on that late afternoon! No photos there tho since we had to do what we always do best - shop!

In the evening, we had our dinner at this stand alone shop which sells pretty decent beef rice or whatever it's called.

We didn't order much since we were planning to go to a night market after that and we were sure that we would definitely be eating away over there. We visited this place twice or is it thrice during the trip.

I believe that shop is pretty famous and that's me with a mouthful of food.

I was famished since we walked so much and I practically eat everything so as soon as the girls mentioned that the soup which they ordered weren't exactly of their liking, I agreed to finish theirs. I finished the veggies too and so unknowingly, all the dishes were surrounding me and that explained the awkward expression of mine above.

We were kinda lethargic after the meal but it was only 8+ and the night was still young. Haha not really but you know you had to spend all the time that you possible could when you were abroad so we decided to visit one of the night markets which was of walking distance from where we were.

It's the Raohe Night Market.

I really enjoy night markets since the array of food sold is uncountable and most importantly, they're cheap!

We were still feeling so warm from all the walking and the crowd so we agreed to have shaved ice when one of the stall tenants ushered us in to their quaint little eating area. That was when the addiction of shaved ice began.

It tasted so good and was thirst quenching so we concluded that condense milk was the reason of why we couldn't stop asking for more!

No idea what this is called but we tried this there as well.

It was past 10 if I'm not wrong when we were only done with exploring half of the night market but we decided to call it a day and took a cab back to the hotel!

Back at the hotel, we poured out all our loots and the girls came up with crazy ideas which I think shouldn't be disclosed as that might risk our images being ruined. Ahem

& so that marks the end of day 2. It was a pretty long day and I couldn't wait for day 3. All we did that night was simply to catch their variety shows and had a good sleep.

You should totally catch this halloween 2011 @ night safari audition. It's pretty hilarious!

Anyway, I think the organiser for the scarers or care takers are from my school so I actually heard about this event since the start of the academic school year but I'm so timid so there's no way in which I will apply for the scarers position. I can't recall how the pay is like though.

So well... we received news that being a student of my school, we get a 25% off from the original ticket price so yayyyy! I'm so glad that my friends and I are going!

I'm sure that we're gonna have a blast that night and get so frightened and scream the night away! (or most probably it's just me screaming and running everywhere -_-)

Hahahahaha can't wait for it and it'll happen in approximately 1 month's time! YAYYYYY!

Poh teh toe cutting

Morning! I had my best sleep ever last night and I guess that had pretty much helped me to replenish my energy but one down side is that my voice is showing signs that it's going away.

Well like I've mentioned yesterday, I had a mere 4 hours of sleep since I only managed to reach home at close to midnight after a long day at the fair. We're supposed to turn up for a community service activity at aljunied and the reporting time is 7am. Mind you, I live at the other end of sg and I had a hard time grabbing seat on the train. DANG But hehehehe, I live up to my name and managed to grab one and... dozed off. -_-

We were initially told that our job was to pack rice but...

we ended up having to slice potatoes. -_-

Not just one or tens but sacks of potatoes. BAM!

If you've caught the popular #onthefringe chn 8 drama which just ended a week or two ago, you probably would have found the orange corridor familiar! Yes, I was watching the credits when the show ended and I saw that one of the place credited was actually the place where the activity would be. HAHAHA I was so elated. Well... #cheapthrill

& there's this swing which I absolutely adore and I've been wanting one at home.

Although the heat was kind of overpowering, the task was pretty repetitive so it didn't dawn on me how fast time had actually past by and we cut two large buckets of potatoes.

I was so lethargic since I've yet to recover from previous day's exhaustion so much so that my eyes are few times smaller and my dark rings were really horrible. Eye bags were pretty ''full'' too. Hahahaha okkk.. bad joke. -_-

Although it can be quite tiring, I thought that knowing the existence of a halfway house in sg and listening to a life changing story of a man who was once a drug and alcohol addict is pretty comforting.

Anyway, I reek of potato at the end of the session and from there, we dragged ourselves to the next job which was so relaxed that I felt 10 buckets of guilt within me. I dozed off everytime I sat and closed my eyes. That was how exhausted I were so I figured that I should just skip Sunday's work and rest away.

I just felt the urge of earning all the money that I could possibly earn so that I wouldn't have such a hard time trying to save and scrimp every single day so that I can spend sums anytime when there's a need. Life's a chore like that.

Thank goodness I'm back!

Hellooooooooo time check: 9:38pm. If you're wondering, yes, I'm at home and yes, I'm not working at the fair which is supposed to last for four days. Yes, I'm supposed to be there but guess what? I quitted! Hahahaha to all kpo people out there, no disclosing of juicy stories for you here. I didn't get fired anyway, if you're wondering. -.-

Just that sales is so bad in comparison to the previous show I was in and things are tough there ( I find the location of the booth not ideal) so we justified that the money earned isn't worth the time and effort which we have to contribute (pretty low basic pay, standing 10 hours a day, the please-don't-play-around thing & possibility of being laid off if you have poor sales) and commission will be lower than before since practically every model has discount or better specs will be included to attract buyers. At the end of the day after all the free gifts and discount are given, our commission is that low so we opted out. & the part timers there will sum up to 20 if we were to turn up today.

Imagine whole row of people standing side by side for just this company selling the brand and there're other companies selling the same brand as well. That's hard but I must say I was pretty lucky to break the 0 unit sales curse on both days when I was there. Pure luck tho

& everything's so strict which I really abhor so I'm so pleased that we made the right choice. All thanks to friends, we have an alternative route out to compensate for the job loss. I'm so grateful to have such great friends around me who helped me a lot when I'm out. Otherwise, I'm just an empty shell.

This is a little update anyway and I've decided not to work tomorrow since I'm really so exhausted that I ought to rest before my sexy voice (ie. losing of voice) is back.

Basically I only had close to 4 hours of sleep last night and got out of the house at 5.30AM. Elaboration on that tomorrow.

Ahhh so pleased that I'm gonna enjoy my day away tomorrow and for now, I shall turn in. It's close to 10 now and I need to recover my body. When you see the photos of me today, you'll get what I mean. Further elaboration will be done tomorrow as well. For now...

& Here Comes the Holiday

Yipeeee. So today marks the last day of the month as well as the last paper of the semestral exam and this means that my 1.5 month long of holiday has officially started! What a long horrible wait!

So what's better to rejoice the start of the holiday by hanging out first thing after paper!

Albeit hanging out with one another after 3 years, I guess this is actually the first time when all 5 of us went out just for the sake of that. Extra 1000 points to us!

Anyway, MFM had a promotion of 1-for-1 for some main course (which I can't recall the exact name) so there we went. I believe that I haven't had a proper meal out for a month or plus so this meal came just right in time.

& later, checked out shops to keep myself updated of what's on sale. Hehe, I like to know these things on my fingertips.

Then, it was off to Joshua's place of which we have long been aware that his family owns 3 dogs. Hahahaha I was so excited to meet them since the husky (Gabby) pounced on Gary the very first time he visited Joshua's place. Hahaha

I was like busy tweeting away to calm my nerves. For instance, "Off to @xxwh1skyxx's house now! Can't wait to see Gabby, Nemo and Bubbles! LOL" Yes, I was that excited for no reason or probably it was the excitement of meeting the legendary three dogs.

Well basically Gabby is a husky, Nemo is a german shepherd mixed with i-can't-recall-which-breed and Bubbles which is a golden retriever. It was pretty intimidating in the beginning of which we girls were trying to shun them since they will approach you from all directions and sniff you at some particular areas of us. But.. it got better after that and while the guys were playing mahjong, I occupied myself by having a hard time deciding which dog I prefer most. #boliao

It was a close tie between gabby and bubbles since the former is obviously a brainy dog and the latter is so tame and calm. It's a she anyway. Well, Nemo is just... kinda emo. Hahaha

But.. my decision has been finalized when I interacted and fed Bubbles. She even sat on a chair so obediently while the other two dogs were surrounding Joshua's dad for food.

We also had a mini dog's trick learning session and we managed to make them sit and I saw the "paw-paw" trick. Awwwwwww Now I wanna be a dog, or maybe not. HAHAHA & it was so amazing to see how his dad fed them each with pasta which we had too and Nemo totally devoured the remaining portion of his and if one isn't aware, you may have taught that the dish has been washed cleanly. Hahaha free dishwasher at home.

Anyway, the picture of the fur which I took a snapshot of (see above) belongs to.... Husky. Hahahaha He really sheds a lot of fur and it feels like snowing in the room. He was so darn cute, in the sense that he climbed up the stairs all the way just to see us (visitors) but unfortunately, he was instructed to leave the room and he really did. Awwwwwwwwww *paw paw* Hahahaha

The time spent there was mostly on being a ''guitar heroine'' for me and the guys on mahjong. & how can I miss taking a photo with Bubbles right! *send flying kisses*

& the above picture shows Gabby and the cut-off Nemo. Hahaha Nemo was named that as he liked to play with water when he was young. Isn't that so cute?!!!?!?!!?! Awwwwwwww

They completed the entire mahjong session and off we went. It was definitely a simple but a well spent and relaxing afternoon.

So now, I see the need to gain as much sleep as I can in preparation for tomorrow's work @ the IT fair. Dangggg Por Pi that there'll be people patronizing me since I'll be situated at another booth which is different from the one which I was at and the competition is rather fierce at the new location. Sigh

Okkkkkk to get rid of those new inhabitants on my face as well and to compensate the sleepless nights due to those late night studying, I shall turn in now.

To be honest, I'm in a pretty bad mood now and I presume that this will last for a day or so and please don't ask me why. Tyvm So...... I shall blog away since posting is claimed to be therapeutic. This is the second post of the day and I always refrain from publishing too many posts in a day. Haha, I guess this is just a pet peeve of mine.

Just wondering if anyone ever thinks as much as I do? I think a lot and I did wonder if I die, (let's not bother when I will die but hopefully not too old like when I'm in my 80s) who will turn up and what will they say.

I was setting up two scenarios for myself. Scenario 1 is when I die young, say... in my 20s or 30s and scenario 2 is natural death. Actually natural death isn't worth elaborating cause those who will be present will be my supposedly husband (that is if I'm not left on the shelf and he doesn't die before I do), grandchildren (I'm not left on the shelf and so are my children) and those relatives of mine. Boring~~ So I shall skip scenario 2.

Ok disclaimer first. I'm in no way out of my mind (although I mentioned that I'm having a pretty bad day) and am not contemplating to commit suicide. I'm not mad. Uh... okay probably partially mad. It's just... I tend to think a lot and I like to speak out what I think. Apparently, the considerably appropriate channel is this tiny space of mine.

What sparked my thought is this MV by The Band Perry.

So let's elaborate on scenario 1. If I die young... I would love if I get to know who would turn up for my funeral. Who would bother to? Who would be bawling out loud and who would miss my presence?

If you're one of them, I promise that I will appear in your dream and give you 4 numbers for you to buy 4D and strike! Hahahaha That's to reciprocate for contributing so much to me. Okkkk kidding but I will if I can. Okay this is getting out of hand. Lol

I think I wanna have my body cremated and not buried. Is the latter being banned by the government? But anyway, I prefer the former cause the thought of having my bones left in the soil disgusts me. Ewww

Ok... & if I die young, I hope that I'm not in a relationship so that my the other half won't be so sad (assuming that he will be sad and isn't a hard hearted jerk. Lololol). &... a sad thing is that if only I know when I will be dead so that I can divide the assets I own to various people. Hahahhaha I don't have tons of assets but what holds close to my heart (besides the $ in my bank) are my polishes (LOLOLOLOL) and my makeup products which are relatively new and 90% are high end products. If close female friends don't mind, I can give those to them. Otherwise they can be sold online or somewhere and the proceeds shall go to a charity organization.

As for the amount in my bank, I will divide them accordingly to be given to my family as well as donating them to a charity organization. I wanna die with a good image. Hehehe Just pulling your leg. But I would love to play a part to help some people too because... (ok this shall be elaborated another time if I feel like typing pages)

Appearance wise, I'm rather clueless how I wanna be dressed like in my coffin. Aiya.. I'm lazy to think now so this shall be it for this post.

Hahaha I was reading the post and realized that how things have changed since last yr and I've been subscribed to her since the day I first came across her videos.

So well I thought that she deserves another mention and besides those videos which she has been uploading for the past year or so, she has launched her new MV! The plus point is that it's so darn cute! I couldn't stop repeating omg-so-cuteeeeee for 10,000 times while watching it! Let's brush aside those super popular kpop groups and listen to this sweet looking girl for now.

Hahaha so I've been wondering who is the person jumping all the while. She (I assume given the pale delicate looking legs. lol) must have a good stamina. I think I will start panting after 10 jumps or so. Pathetic.

I've no idea what got into me lately but every month, it's very likely that I'll be swooned over stuffs and be taken over by consumerism. Oh nooooo

I wish that the silver shatter cracked more but I guess the way to do it is to layer a thin coat of it. Nonetheless, I'm still pleased with the effect produced just like the black shatter as well as China Glaze's shatters. Cracked Concrete works fine too but I've yet to try out Crushed Candy.

& if you're wondering if I spent my whole fortune on these stuffs, I didn't. Well, I guess most people aren't aware that I purchase those items which I long for only when there's sales going on. For instance, I purchased those Nars products when there was 25% off all Nars products. Are you kidding me, twenty-five frigging percent! Hahaha & now I no longer visit Mac counter anymore (apart from swatching new collection products) since I've helpful friends who have some connections so I can get Mac products at 25% off as well or probably having people to purchase from DFS. Otherwise, I may be lucky enough to get Mac products at more than 50% off. That's pretty rare tho.

So all in all, I guess I've saved up pretty a lot than if I were to pay for the full price. Same goes for the polishes which is around 9 bucks per bottle on average but the price pretty much depends on which brand of polish I'm going for. Now I refuse to pay full price for them since they are more of luxury items than necessities. #cheapskate

Soooooo hehehe I've pretty good lobangs right!

Seriously at this rate, I foresee this space being turned into a beauty blog given that I lead a mundane life and do nothing besides playing with the stuffs I own.

Taiwan 2011 - Day 1 Part II

To carry on from where I stopped previously, we were trying to locate the place for our lunch.

Despite having a pretty hard time searching for this place after attempting to get flyers from girl in exchange of asking her the location of this place as well as asking every possible stranger who passed by us, I still find that the locals are all super friendly! Thumbs up!!

We spent like a whole 10mins or so taking photos at the entrance before making our way up to the dining area.

Hahahahha it seemed to be kinda awkward to be sitting on toilet bowls but everyone was too so it wasn't that bad!

& confession time! I was really amazed by all the toilet bowls. Hahahaha I may unconsciously have a fetish in toilet bowl designs.

Now.. onto the food. To be honest, the food didn't appeal to me and I think that it's worth going if it was your first time there. Otherwise, I doubt that I'll be returning if I ever go to taipei again.

Well... all the "shitty'' (pun unintended) designs sort of compensate for the quality of the food anyway.

I can't exactly recall what we ordered but we ended up being served this (see below) and holy crap! I was pretty shocked but rest assure, we didn't finish this or there may be two likely consequences. 1: Freezing to death. 2: Chances of being diagnosed with diabetes tripled.

So that basically sums up the meal there.

So we proceeded to our next destination and that was to frigging get to the NARS counter. Wahahahaha I swear that was the highlight of the day to me. We did some research before we went on this trip and located the mall which had this counter.

The girls and I were looking around and I can clearly remember that Melody and I were walking in front of the other two girls. We were so excited and I could totally feel that our hearts were plummeting crazily. Later, we were like competing to see who could locate the counter first and TADAAA! Melody saw it and I promised that I tried my best to control my excitement. I would say that apparently, we did fairly well. Hahahhaa and the next moment, we were seen swatching all the colours away. Exciting much!

Read on to see what each of us get. Hahahhaa all the girls, that is, except for my mom! It costs NT$1,800 so that is approximately SGD$80.

& may I defend myself a little. *defensive*

I think everyone had pretty much heard me saying Nars blush in Deep Throat as 深喉咙 in mandarin. Yes, it's direct translation but I have a reason! Basically, I watched 女人我最大 and the famous makeup guru Kevin named it as that so I guess this is how it's named by the locals! But... I do admit that I was kind of an embarrassment to say that pretty out loud since... I can't control my volume most of the time. Sorwieeee!

Later, we went to explore the mall a little and look what we saw!

So we were told that there was another similar departmental mall adjacent to the one we were in so we headed over. I think this is the zhongxiaofuxin train station. Pardon me if I'm wrong since I'm relying on my 2 months long memory of the trip.

Not long later, we were kind of tired so we decided to return to xmd where our hotel was located and we decided to explore the area before calling it a day!

I think ximending is somewhat supposed to be our bugis but... their ''bugis'' is 10 times better. At least, theirs is way more happening and there are tons of food stalls opened. This is indeed the night life I wish to lead everyday! Just simply to eat away~ (oh that rhymes!)

Below is this fried chicken stall and oh geez! The guys tending the stall are damn hilarious. HAHAHHA! They will speak in unison in situation like like this:

One guy: 要大鸡排吗?

Customer: 不要

One guy: 真的不要吗?

All the guys: 我们的鸡排很好吃哦!

I laughed so hard whenever they said the last few words together loud and clear. Hahahahaha So funny!!

Unfortunately, we only managed to purchase once from there and that was the only time when we had the chicken from there when we're supposed to have 10 times more!

Uhhh bummerrr ):

We went to Mister Donut too and oh my goodness! I like their donuts sooooo frigging much! Initially, I wasn't aware about this shop so I was like meh, donut but... my eyes widened 10 times when I had my first bite. (ok, this is kind of exaggerating but it really tastes good!)

Bubble tea is pretty affordable there as well. Ahhhh that's totally a food heaven. I want to return to this place :(

So we spent around few hours exploring the place a little and like I've mentioned, we were so drop dead tired and headed back to rest!

This is the boutique hotel's lounge area or where the laundry area is located. I think there's free usage of the laundry related stuffs but we didn''t use. I like how peaceful and safe the place feels although it may be kinda creepy to be here alone at night.

Sooooo what we actually got at the Nars counter is the "I will survive" set which comes along with a blush and lip gloss in Deep Throat as well as Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. Haha Pardon the names. That's Nars for you! Well, I must say that it's my favourite brand as of now. My hype for Mac has kind of died down now since I've gotten what I've mostly wanted but I still favour the wide array of colours and choices available. (:

& across the street where the hotel is situated, there's this drugstore or something similar to our Watsons and over there, we purchased the follow lip balms which are highly raved. So far, I'm still using Carmex's and haven't opened Deary's but I think that Carmex lip balm is kind of oily for my liking and I guess I will prefer Deary better. Carmex is pretty much like the white's favourite and Deary's the chinese's favourite since I think the latter isn't available in store in the States or something, I believe.

Oh. Eileen and I grabbed a magazine each and the 女人我最大 magazine costs only SGD$7 in taiwan but it costs around $11/12 locally. Ahhh BAM. I've been wanting to see how the magazine is like since it's always on display at the background in the show. I couldn't resist on the last night of the trip and bought ViVi as well.

I believe it's the girls who went to purchase the famous + damn tasty (imo) instant noodles ever with actual beef in it. I devoured it after bathing and crawling into the most comfy bed ever (incomparable to my own bed at home tho) after that, tuning into their variety show (my favourite) and turning in at slightly past 12.

& here you go. That sums up Day 1 of the trip.

Sigh, although it's like slightly past 2 months since we returned, I still have a pretty good memory of what we did and I seriously can't wait to return after visiting few other countries first. I'm currently saving up for tons of things and so far so good, I think?

I miss the girls and I miss Taiwan (repeated for the 10,000th time)....

so badly.

I just managed to catch a glimpse of the photos and there was an instant overflowing of recollections. I couldn't figure what my feelings exactly were. Well now it's slightly past 3 so I needa turn in since I have to wake up in 6 hours' time. For those who have been wanting to see those photos, taiwan updates will be up next!

I believe that humans tend to hide their true feelings within themselves so much so that it snowballs and eventually, if you don't speak up to resolve the uneasiness, you may see the change within yourself - refusal to step out of your comfort zone and shunning some people you know.

Communication is vital, be it between your parents, sibling, grandparents, friends, relatives, etc. Just simple anyone who plays a part in your life. If you see eye-to-eye with someone, speak about it, bottling up the anger within your heart will definitely ruin your relationship and soon enough, the relationship will cease to exist.

Although it may be a taxing job to be frank, well I guess at least you get to know the opposite better and you're clear what is expected of you for your role. If this persists, the two parties may find themselves brushing past each other on the street without a smile or a hi. No one will be able to tell the excitement they used to share or the times when they truly missed each other.

They will be complete strangers.
